Good Lord! What a nail-biting finish.
There will be much to talk about after all is said and done, but at least a brilliant and inspiring finish for Pippa Funnell. So inspiring for me as a middle-aged woman to see a 50 year-old rider at the top of her game. And great performance by Piggy as well.
Very British to apologize for riding “so badly” on the final day at perhaps the most difficult horse trial in the world.:lol:

A miniature of the Land Rover Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented by LAND ROVER will be awarded to the highest placed rider who is competing for the first time at Burghley.
It could have been the Pairs Challenge or the Best Shod Horse.
