They’ll need it. Serious terrain there.
The mowed CL isn’t a cheat. If anything it’s a great tell.
They actually discussed the centerline in the commentary, a lot of riders don’t like it because it IS so obvious if you are even a foot off one way or another. Definitely not a cheat. You can really see when the riders are crooked or halt crooked.
Amazing work by the US ladies!!
The top top hat is one tradition that just needs to DIE! Seriously we want to be seen as athletes, seen as a sport and we want sponsorship and time on networks, we need to look the part along with being safe.
Non riding people always ask me- why do you have to wear “those little outfits”? Like little outfits? It’s embarassing. I love the new athletic riding gear and I used to be all about jackets etc but I realized how much better you can ride in clothes that allow you to do your job!!
I hate top hats!! rant over
Burghley is one of my most looked-forward to events to watch (someday, maybe I will be lucky enough to attend). I just love how thorough they are with the live-feed, the commentary, the play-backs, and the live scoring. Every year it’s such a treat to be able to watch from afar and feel clued in.
Does anyone know if the iPlayer or BBC Red Button are available outside the UK?
Is there a replay of the tests today yet? Yesterday I could find it right away (even while live stream was going). Today there is only 30 min I can find and most is just the hold screen…less then 1/3 of the first rider’s test.
It’s all available on LIVESTREAM.

BBC not available in USA without VPN and a UK based account.
EEEEEEEEW it’s raining.
Yes I can get the live stream. And now they have post session 2 from today but the video they have posted for session one is missing basically all the rides! I sent them a message as they may not be aware.
eta: they responded that they will add it later.
Ugh poor Woodge, it started raining during her test and Captain Jack looks really tense.
I just love the commentary… and Poor Woodge… the worst of the weather!
Yay Lauren and Bug!

There are two times listed on those videos. Make them match up using the red slide and that’s when it starts!
Every time I watch that horse - need to figure out a way to put just enough Arab in my event horse breeding - ( did I say that?) but his collection and lead changes are so lovely.
I don’t think Woodge had a great test, but I think she was marked terribly. I do love the commentary. The dressage peeps seem to really understand what the riders are thinking and then doing. Bug had a great test. So great to have so many Americans at the top for a change. I expect Ollie to have a very good test, and Tim too. But I think we are in a very good position.
Yes…but ends a couple minutes later for session one. You just see the start of the first test…for session 1. looks like most of Session 2 is posted.
All those American flags at the top! GO US WOMEN!! I mean, all American riders of course but so thrilled for them!
I’d think Woodge would be happy with her score …~6 points better than Badminton this year and consistent with Kentucky last year. Can’t hate that.
Leave it to Pippa to blow everyone else out of the water
Move over septics!!
