It’s not the course, it’s the riders. Some of them probably shouldn’t be here.

The usual contingent of top European riders/horses aren’t here because of the European championships last weekend.

This happens at certain events when another championship drains off most of the riders/horses that is the real intention of the course.

But yeah, some of those riders should have retired or been pulled off before they took that crashing fall that ended their Bughley, and could have ended a lot more.

Eliza Stoddart had major problems and questionable decisions with at least two combinations, well before she got that rotational fall.

They aren’t updating Dom! Will have to see his round on the replays tonight.

They showed Discovery Valley and he and the horse looked great! Very smart and cool-headed riding.

Putting on my Jimmy Wofford hat and seeing a lot of too-long stirrups out there… especially on Richard Skelt, he was all over the place through the trout hatchery…
