Thank you @Equibrit that’s a much better page!
I am guessing that these are “New Webpage” problems.
I followed larksmom’s link and got live results.
I think the problem is the scrolling inside the box. That has tripped me up at several events!
I think Swallow Springs could have been scored even higher than he was. It was an amazing test, and the changes were so quiet. Not even a flick of the tail.
Changes were quiet and correct but could have scored higher if there was some expression to them. From what I’ve been told the changes need to actually some cadence and uphill expression to them
Enjoyed dressage today! Lovely test of course by Swallow Springs. The Trakehner enthusiast in me also is excited that he is part-Trakehner. Swallow Springs is by a reg. ISH called Chillout. Chillout is by the Elite Trakehner stallion Abdullah. Abdullah himself is a legend in show jumping.
Honored as one of the top 50 horses of the century by The Chronicle of The Horse, together with Conrad Homfeld, Abdullah won the Olympic Team Gold in Show Jumping and Individual Silver medal in 1984, won the World Cup in 1985, and the team gold and individual silver medal at the World Championships in Aachen 1986.
I remember Abdullah. He was a jumping machine!
I felt for Laura Innes. The horse was up and rambunctious. When I saw him tossing his head so high I called my wife over and said “look, just like me and my horse.” I don’t wish any rider ill will but I have a picture of my horse with his head as high as it would go and showing all his teeth on a canter depart. We were only doing novice compared to what Lauren Innes was doing.
In some way it is consoling that even the best riders have those moments.
Just confirming that when you sign up for Burghley TV, you get access to playbacks?
Yes. I just watched today’s dressage in the last hour and I think it is 8pm there now so it couldn’t still be going on.
Excellent! Thank you
They really do a much better job than anyone else.
Yes, but. As of an hour ago, dressage part 7 was the only video available. It is over 2 hours long but doesn’t include the first group of riders.
Is there any way to watch the past rides?
More sessions are now available. Keep checking.
Just catching up on the dressage days. I agree the Burghley TV is very well done.
If I could make just suggestion, I wish they’d put the scoring up top left, opposite the Burghley logo. The score box covers the horses’ feet and legs in too much of the test and that’s what I wanted to see. I wouldn’t miss a little rectangle of sky to not have the box over the athletes so often.
Will just moved into 4th! He got two tens for his halt. He did a very good test.
I’m just seeing a frozen screen saying coverage starts at 9:30
that is because they just are taking a break!
