Iā€™m curious why Will Rawlin got pulled up. His horse didnā€™t look tired and I donā€™t think I saw blood.

Iā€™m appreciating the live results showing the jump completions. but I donā€™t know what a ā€œgiā€ elimination is.

Thank you.

Oh no! Hannah and Gireg both down in quick succession. Capitol HIM just barely caught a leg at the dairy mound (maybe a touch tired?) and Giregā€™s horse tripped on landing and went swimming after the big drop at the trout hatchery.

Both riders and horses up and walking. Giregā€™s horse seemed quite annoyed at having water in his ears.

so sad, HSH was going so well

Ollie now down too! Rosalent looked like she was tripping a bit and they got a bad line through the corners. Both up and walking too.

OT was very brave or stupid to try to go straight at the big rolex corners after a bad first jump.

Interesting to note that no top 10 pairs have completed XC so far.

Oh no! Jonelle down at the leaf pit! What is going on???

Thatā€™s 4 consecutive falls right now? All more or less freak things, except maybe Ollie making a poor decision to go straight.

WHAT A ROUND for Cosby Green! Cannot wait to see her on a team in the future! Brilliant.

Thank god for that fence being frangible with Oliver. I get that heā€™s ambitious but to clearly not have the approach to the second corner correct and to still just sit back and try and hit the horse over it anyways is so unfair in that instance. Ugh!!

I wish they would stop highlighting him. I get he wins and is competitive but the horsemanship is disgusting. Such a shame, that mare is lovely and such a a fighter.

Cā€™mon Lauren and Global Fission! Give us a clear!

i am no fan of OT, but did not see him getting much more coverage than others at Burghley so far.

I agree. Effective riding isnā€™t always going to be pretty in a sticky situation, but it can still be kinder to the horse than he is.

I canā€™t tell if itā€™s my imagination or not but it seems like there are quite a few more horses today that are really running wild with their riders. Early on there were a couple that really made me nervous with how little control the riders seemed to have! One horse I thought she was just going to bolt off and miss all the fences lol
