Rumor, and I’m just messing with you.

I want you to remember my quote “SB will go down for multiple charges”. She is NOT the person you think she is…Two boys got DUI’s after leaving one of her parties this weekend, she allowed them to drink as long as they put their keys in the drawer while they were drinking. They were 18 and 19 years old, thank God they didn’t kill themselves or someone else…she is a real gem

ARE YOU SERIOUS !!! OMG YOU HAVE NOOOO IDEA WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT !!! I KNOW STEPHANIE PERSONALLY AND TRUST ME IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Let me ask the person who wrote this RIDICULOUS ENTRY… Some groom who can I AM 95% sure can barely understand english (or who pretents he/she cant) and I AM MORE THAN SURE HAS FALSIFIED PAPERS TO GET A TRACK LICENSE is going to risk getting caught “doping” horses??? They are going to risk getting caught, ruled off every racetrack in the country, and arrrested and deported FOR STEPHANIE OR DAVID??? Ya okay THAT MIGHT HAPPEN and I WILL 100% GUARANTEE the one maybe two american grooms KNOW BETTER AND WOULD QUIT FIRST AND REPORT HER BECAUSE THEY WILL FIND ANOTHER JOB TOMORROW AND HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE. I know you who write these UNSUBSTANTIATED AND CRAZY THINGS DONT KNOW ANY BETTER BUT KEEP IT TO YOURSELF KNOW ONE ELSE NEEDS TO HEAR YOUR STUPIDIITY!!![/QUOTE]

I never said “doping” you did… If you “love” SB like you say then my name will haunt you the whole time she is in JAIL …hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

In this day/ when the knowledge is out there on DUI/driving and underage drinking …
Just shows her total disregard for other human beings…

to allow drinking by underage…
to allow drinking by underage who are driving…
to allow drunks to leave her place driving, no matter what age.
there is no excuse.
I know the cops asked where they were drinking, if shes not arrested, then they lied…(which is an offence too)
… wonder where they learned best how to do that?..from the Queen herself you think?

Shes a complete danger to society in general.

What petition?

The best I got was a petition against SB (which shes not in charge of this rescue any longer so had to correct my caller to this fact)…
that there is a petition against collecting money for this rescue since it seems to cater to only SB’s horses…as her outlet for unwanted horses. (dah, we all knew that)…but guess the track folk are finally understanding this…

I can understand why other trainers … who network and retire their own horses responsibly…would not want to contribute (mandated)… to a rescue to cater to those who do not…

any other inforamation?

Am I understanding correctly, that all trainers have to contrbute money to the Penn rescue fund? How many horses can the rescue actually handle at any given time?
If a trainer has another avenue for their horses, and I mean rehoming, are they still required to contribute?
I don’t think the contribution is a bad thing, as long as everyone has equal access for their retiring horses.
I also think that the owners of these horses have an obligation in helping to obtain good homes for their retiring horses, it should not all be heaped on the trainers. Everyone has profited in some way from these horses.
Since I am not directly involved in this, I may not have all the info correct, as far as who is responsible for finding homes for the horses.
I think the owners have a large responsiblity.

Correct me if I am wrong…my understanding was that they are going to collect $10.00 for each entered horse that runs at Penn???

Trainers who start a lot of horses like Muray and SB would be paying in the 1000’s$.
Some of these trainers already have their own farms, Where they send their or the owners horses to either be privately euthanised or send out to be re-trained and sold.

Those with proof of those means and thru use of CANTER won’t be utilizing the new program.
I heard also some have asked about opting to make a lump sum donation based on their yearly average start numbers to the horse rescue of their choice.

SwtVixen did I get this correct???

Its along those lines Judybigredpony…
there is the requested 10-p/entry…

Yes, this is open to any trainer… but, many owners/trainers take care of their own …
they question : why should they fund into this?
I can understand that stand.

It is Not the tracks responsibility, it is not the trainers responsibility… it is the owner in the end who is responsible for their horse.

A lot of gossip is flying around... just wanted to hear if anyone had some *facts* to add.

Well, I don’t have children. If I did, they’d be in boarding school. Yet, I seem to have to pay a large sum towards taxes every year to fund the education for other people’s children, which probably includes children from some of those complaining trainers.

Sometimes you just have to suck it up for the greater good. It’s the price you pay for being a member of society (and not having packs of feral children running around all day).

And a lot of folks pay their taxes while they homeschool or board their kids… the elderly pay theirs without benefit other than an educated neighborhood (we hope).

But, this is apples and oranges.... really... look close..

Its owners, who have reaped all the benefits of their horses, and then when they arent producing, expect others to take responsiblity for their non-producing investments.
Try this sometime… tell an owner you’ll retrain and rehome their horse…it costs $xxxx.xx and see what kind of answer you’ll get.

Meanwhile, trainers are trying to help ... while trying to keep owners happy... canter and other rescues are doing their best efforts...some individuals work out of their pockets and hopefully some repayment so they can do it again ...try to help... and what does an owner offer? Nothing.

The answer lies most in the person responsible taking some responsibility. Maybe a % of the owners winnings should be invested.

I disagree. In my opinion an across the board per start fee is the only way to go. Most tracks give you something regardless of where you finish in the race, so they take $10 or $20 whatever out of there. Most will never even know its gone. I got charged a $25 gate fee to run at Timonium. They didn’t ask me if I wanted to pay it nor did they tell me I would have to pay it ahead of time. I don’t even know what the gate fee is used for. At least a with a retirement fee you kind of have an idea what it is.

After reading what Laurierace wrote about gate fees at Timonium, I agree that the fee per race seem small, but will add up. I would definately not have a problem with that if I were racing at this time.
At least all owners would be somewhat accountable for funding the retirement/retraining of their horses.
There has to be a beginning somewhere and maybe as the fund/program grows and transforms other changes can come also.
The main thing is that it is available to all who need to utilize it.
