Business As Usual

Yes. and this a acurate eye witness not embellished look inside.

Leilatigress:
Sure you can lodge a complaint!
With the GM of a particular track.
With the Racing Commission
With the Dept of Ag/Racing Division.

Im not the authority of all this, Dick Hertz would know better... He does have a blog page for asking questions.

   http://businessasusualdickhertz.blogspot.com/

Your question has been one of his platforms for reforms in racing .. and I belive, DD has charges against him related to race fixing.

Sir Togo was allowed to run, One Big Cat was steward scratched. One out of two ain’t bad. Especially for PHRC.
Now we have Sir Togo entered in The 3rd at Laurel on Oct 2nd. Maryland Million Starter Handicap.

What kind of a no class gyp runs a horse back already that just ran not 2 weeks ago? Especially while aiming at a race like this one? I know, I know, folks in the employ of noted owner Edward Longo:rolleyes:

Dickie has shown us some time ago that the state of Maryland takes a dim view of program training. Hopefully they’ll take a good look at this one and demonstrate how to make an example for benefit of the PHRC who seems unwilling or unable to do so.

Ok Marylanders, your turn. Would somebody down there be good enough to make the call?

Maryland is the same joke state that allowed Harry Hepbron to falsify his license application to get his trainer’s license. Oh, and they welcomed Kirk Zaide with open arms as well.

Business as Usual.
This one was scratched by the trainer:confused: All I can figure is something must have been wrong with this animal for real that nerve blocking, shockwaving and DMSO jugging couldn’t overcome:rolleyes:

I need to tell Dickie something. Can one of you good people send me his e-mail addy in a PM? Either that or tell him to get a hold of me. I’ve not seen him around for a while and something has come up that he should know about.
Thanks folks:)

Sent You a PM

I understand CT gave Ms SB 10 stalls. Was told her reason for moving 10 horses was the cost of transporting them back n forth from Penn was just to much $$$.

ā€œThe Fugly site tells the truthā€.

Uh, okay, depends on which version of the truth you want.
Are horse rescues scams? Some of them are. Are horse rescues horse traders in disguise? Some of them are. Do MANY Horse rescues play heavily on horseless middle-aged women’s heart-strings? Absolutely.

Have MANY rescued horses that were completely unsuitable, if not dangerous to the new owner, been saved? Yup.

Was this story already told, almost a year ago?
Yes, it was. Fugly needed to up the hits on her site. period.

Fugly drummed up money for a horse’s rescue on her blog, I donated, then I asked for some paperwork proof when the horse was euthed.
Got called a crack-head for my trouble.
And boy, did I figure things out quick after that.

In horse rescue, the real truth is pretty hard to glean. The ones that sell horses straight from the lot are the most hated by Fugs. Not enough middle men to take some of that very easy cash.

Holier than thou, doesn’t even begin to describe the fugly following.

But, never mind. I’m sure the followers will huff ands puff at me.
Fugs has saved SO many horses!
Uh, no, she reports, when others actually DO.

GO ERIC!!!
GO CANADA!!!
sorry. I am so excited about tonight!
Wish Canada could SEE it tonight.
oh, well.

what does the previous post have to do with this dicussion, perhaps I am dense.

No your reading same thing we are WTF???

I am curious, how is the new rehoming process going? Are there many people utilizing the program?

I truly hope it goes well and as it is meant to be.

Is not surprising being as that their run by the same crew that runs Penn. Appears the Queen is expanding. Must be her charm and graciousness knowing no bounds:rolleyes:

DD watch Oct 10th

It has nothing to do with anything so I’ll put us back on track again:winkgrin: My sources tell me DD is back at the barn on a daily basis again. Did the poor performances of his horses bring him out of hiding? Never a dull moment at the soap opera known as Penn.

DD has 2 entered at Philly Pk on Monday the 11th.
Smokeys Soldier in race 3 Michael Caraman is claiming ownership of this one himself.

Then we have Dubinsky in race 10 owned by none other than good old Edward Longo:mad:

How about it PHRC? How long will you guys continue to be the laughing stock of the horse racing industry?

Be sure to tune in daily for each episode of ā€œAs the Hot Walker Turnsā€:wink:

Dick is staying the course!

http://businessasusualdickhertz.blogspot.com/
todays post is a warning to the cheaters!

Its a shame that (today) it appears the only one under the bus is DD, when there are many just at fault as him …only not caught yet.
The witness against DD sadly is a disgruntled employee (no one else calls him that in their employ, they just say he collects pay each wk) but…its so…

on the rehoming? its said 2 (yes...as in 1-2) horses will be retrained this winter. >>I have 10 in my barn, and its all out of pocket!> Judy, how many in your barn?
         tsk tsk...shame

My arguement with Christy Sheidy... she knows the TB's are coming in to the Moore farm /and coming in to her (broker side) of his barn ...YET she stands silent, and calls herself a rescue... its not about her tactics of crying *the sky is falling*, or her broker business with a KB,(per se) ...
IT IS THIS> her silence in protecting those trainers still sending underground to the KB. Anyone else see this point?

What Dick started a year ago is far from over... it might be a bit silent right now, folks stepping back and regrouping, but past deeds dont go away...just like the IRS, those taxes are still due, even from 20yrs ago/along with all the penalities and interests due.

Speak of ..... well, not yet.

Absolutely.

Penn doesn’t have to worry about their zero tolerance policy ever being tested when a ā€œrescueā€ is helping the KB cover up the underground movement of their TB’s.

I would love to sign in on his site, but for the life of me, I can not figure out how to do it. Does anybody have any hints. I can be dense from a technical point of view. You can PM me if that is easier.

Rather than PM’ing tradewind, would whoever knows how to sign in, respond on this thread? I’m fairly decent on computers (but I can’t figure out how to sign onto his site, either).

SwtVixen right now I have 10 sale horses already schooled w/t/c swap leads and jump round, also 2 who have seen hounds or cubbed and 4 who have schooled real XC course and 1 who has been showing H/J.
Why do you want to buy a horse…

Not counting my 2 broodmares (both well bred rescues) 2 foals not weaned (late) 1 yearling by Domestic Dispute 2 retired bonified ā€œAAā€ show hunters and Ta Da a ā€œPayingā€ lay-up and a Partridge in a Pear tree…

And a steady line waiting to come in…trickle steady selling out…

That was my point

--- that there are many who buy/retrain/yes, sell, hopefully for enough profit to buy more and retrain more....

and without the benefits of being a rescue...or the free advertising of Canter -- but advertise and sell professionally.

can you imagine what one could to with a 25k grant and funding besides?

a lot more than 2 in a season.

but typically as happens when there are more people in the organizational end of projects than folks actually getting the job done....its the horses that get lost in the shuffle and found by people like Christy Sheidy and Brian Moore.
