I’m so glad this mare’s story seems to have a happy ending.

It’s been so busy over here that I missed things! @rockymouse I’m SUCH a tb fan and swoon with your boy! Totally agree he needs a post of his own! About to get up to date with Heinz boys :raised_hands:t4: absolutely love this thread and seeing so many success stories!

The mare’s page is gone, so hopefully she went to a good home.

Someone please get the filly. She’s too sweet and too nice.

I have to stop looking at the links in this thread. I can’t have any more horses right now.

That poor baby is so thin  fingers crossed she finds a home

I know. If I had any way to rescue her, i would.

I really don’t understand what’s going on lately… used to be that any halfway decent looking DHH at Bowie was snapped up pretty quick, for prices higher than these. I know she’s on the smaller side right now but she is ADORABLE.

I would happily help sponsor her, if someone here could take her! Damn it, I can’t get her out of my head!

More nice horses at Bowie…I am trying to stay strong.

I DO NOT NEED A DHH COLT. Are you listening, inner child??? Don’t you dare hit that add to cart button!!!

Somebody save me. I mean, the colt. Both.

This is going to be a long weekend…for Mr. Kooky.

It’s no wonder he drinks. :joy:

She even has the cute “kissing spot” on her nose just like my great mare.

The filly is indeed adorable and seems very sweet and easy.

But man, this guy is flashy as all get out. Yes, I know. Much of that is because of the chrome. But I also like the way he carries himself uphill. Despite being prancy with a lot of knee action (ain’t no hunter), he looks athletic and balanced.

I am having a hard time not making a bad decision here. He is sooo neat! He looks sweet and sensitive.

I think it would be fun to ride that Viking ship across the desert Sea around here and stuff…(kicks ground searching for good reasons.)

Even if it IS a bad decision to make, I wonder if Mr. Kooky could find comfort and forgiveness in knowing my WORST decision is yet to come.

There IS that.

You absolutely do not need good reasons, because wherever you take him and whatever you do with him is bound to be worlds better than wherever he’d go if you didn’t.

I am the queen of bad decisions for May, but I’d be happy to share my crown :joy::joy: we can have matching ‘I bought a DHH colt from Bowie’ shirts.

I may need that shirt. :joy:

Contemplations are currently being made as to where a temporary pen could go for gelding and transition into the herd.

We are at a solid maybe, folks.

It is a bad time because planting season is here, but that’s what quarantine is for, right?

Just because of due diligence, are we quarantining with Bowie or has anyone come up with somewhere else?

I could probably go pick him up in a few weeks, but I am not sure that would fly with Mr. Kooky. Might check with haulers, it’s not that far, she says. Especially one way.

The last time I went to pick up ONE lamb alone, I came back with a Highlander packed with 5 Shetland sheep. One was pregnant. They are very cute so thankfully we were all allowed to stay upon our return.

Yay! It sounds like a plan is coming together to help that sweet, handsome boy!

When I quarantined the 4yo TB with them, it was $22 a day and he spent at least part of his time - if not all of his time - out in a grassy pasture (according to the videos and photos they sent a few times). There was a two week minimum to qt with them, but they’d certainly keep a horse for longer.
