Someone at the farm has an Instagram page and they post pictures of the horses and the farm. It looks like the horses are friendly and well cared for and they’re allowed to be horses (they get turned out, they get dirty, etc.), There are also a lot of cats on the farm.
California Angel started in the Gr.2 Rachel Alexandra. She started a little slow, ran mid pack early, but never threatened and finished tenth of eleven. (La Crete, a half to Clariere, was pulled up on the lead with a condylar fracture).
Credit where credit is due, California Holiday (out of a Harlans Holiday mare) broke his maiden going wire to wire at 1m on turf at Fairgrounds, MSW race but impressive effort by, IMO, an impressive looking and moving bay colt. Good luck to him moving forward to more challenges, he galloped out bright and looking for more.
The F. S The Best Victory, from the coach Marcos Pavez and owned by Stud and Haras Sumaya was exported to the United States the son of California Chrome will join the block of Fausto Gutiérrez. Success
@HarasSumaya
Acting Out (not CC progeny) co-owned by Art Sherman wins the Carousel
That was a 22K purse Claiming Race. Nice, but not impressive.
I think that Chrome fans will have to look to Japan to see if he becomes a good sire. He’s getting better mares there, so you never know.
Shared because this is the CC thread, not for how impressive (or not) a race may have been.
I apologize , I was responding to your post re; race 6 at Santa Anita.
Thrilled for Art Sherman who co-owns Acting Out, the filly won the Carousel, but she is by Blame and out of a Speightstown mare, unrelated to California Chrome.
For the Chrome fans; Cilla is running in the (G1) Madison S. Race 7 at Keeneland

Thanks for keeping track of these horses, skydy…
I can’t claim credit. I’ve only noticed their names while looking at stakes entries, and posted them here because I know some people are interested.
He ran last of 11.
He came out of the gate slow, ran slow & never really looked comfortable.
IIRC his last race was a bit similar. Slow out of the gate & slow to get into stride.
