Are you sure that wasn’t the flag of Georgia?
it was being held up when the one of the UK riders was in the ring.

To me the saddest part of this whole situation is that the Olympic games are being held in such an intolerant country…freedom of speech, freedom of expression, anything that isn’t structured by its government is being shut down. The games are supposed to bring the world together but this is the first time I remember the games bring about such tension. There has been controversy since China was selected to host. The protests in Paris and other cities along the torch trail should have been a warning that these games would be different.

For sure yesterday during the dressage I saw a flag of St George (at least one) being displayed. (the flag of England which makes up part of the Union Jack).
Those crazy Canucks!
WOW…I surely missed that!! But see here is the thing…all of our eventers are “english” so I can get the flag but as they represent Team GB it is bit…well…
And thanks for the lesson on the flag of St George…
GET OVER IT!
Shame you can’t feel the same way when those freedoms are denied in your own country. Methods may differ - but the outcome is the same! It is less likely that the world WILL come together when folks have your attitude. http://www.americanfreepress.net/04_06_04/Media_Coverage/media_coverage.html

You can stick your head in the sand and dismiss the facts, or you can question your government - your choice/responsibility.

If in order to host the Olympics that nation had to rank in the top 10 in human rights and freedoms then you’d never see the summer or winter olympics held outside of Scandinavia. You can say the US is ‘better’ then China on human rights but it pales next to many other countries.

Of course many other countries sit on their hands and expect the U.S. and some other countries to take care of all the world problems… I think the U.S. could improve for sure but we aren’t even in the same boat as the Chinese…
Well, Eric Lamaze does have that effect on the ladies…

Sorry–crazed female fan, handsome male rider… horsewomen being what they are, the town of Schomberg tends to be filled with panting women and fainting teenagers.
No comment on International Relations intended.
