I could not post to a thread I was active on. Got an “UNAPPROVED” box.
Well…Since I was able to post here so I went back to the thread where I couldn’t post a reply.
Posted one word…clicked on “Post Reply”…Then went back to “Edit,” pasted what I wanted to write and the original reply was accepted.
Don’t know what happened.
Something in the post must have gotten caught up by the spam filters. I’m currently working on deleting around 1800 spam posts from the moderation queue, so I’m digging my way down to the “real” posts hidden in there that need approval!
Our apologies for the trouble. We’re working on some improvements to the anti-spam system.

I’m getting caught in it too…
Ok…this is bizarre…the posts subject of this thread where I was having trouble posting have shown up in the Forum. It started with Post #45…and went thru to #46, # 47, #48.
ok…now I’m having trouble posting on this thread. I’m getting the UNAPPROVED error.
When I post and save one word, then try to edit…I can post. But the editing is inside a second box.
The thread where I originally got the error, now shows all my previous attempts at posting. It started with Post #45 and went thru to posts 46, 47, 48.
testing… Wed am 8:50am cannot post — well, this showed up. but not my posts on H/J
Im having the same problem. Unapproved when I try to post. Whats going on? If thats true dont you think you should tell people?

Me too, more unapproved post than approved this morning, posts like in the western forum about a horse with a bitting problem?

I got my first unapproved post this morning too. Clearly the new spam stopper settings are working a little too well.
I posted on a thread, just words no links, nothing else and got the Unapproved notice… oh well

It only happened to me in the Off Topic forums, so I instinctively thought it was censorship. Apparently not!
I can post, including links… but not quote other posts. Nor can I highlight anything with cursor [ie to ‘bold’ the text or otherwise edit]
And then some threads I can not even post my own comment… tried using variety of words.
Hope they don’t all, suddenly show up! :eek: Some were ‘not nice’ in a tongue/cheek way, cause I assumed they would go buh-bye
Well, I too posted and expected to be able to, as always, go right back and correct some for meaning, but the post was unapproved and later it did show up, when it was way too late to edit.
Guess that will have to edit better before posting at all.
The trouble, some I don’t notice until it is posted properly, where I can see where each sentence fits in space also, which can add or distract from the intended meaning.
Glad that they fixed it.
The developers were adjusting some filters yesterday. I’ll keep an eye on the moderation queue to see if we’re catching a crazy amount of real posts.

I tried posting today in SHB. Wanted to post a pedigree link and a photo. No go. Got the UNAPPROVED message with a box. What is that for? I’ve been able to post photos in the past many times.
