Child in my pasture- WWYD?

Nope, MistyBlue is a real live person whom I’ve actually met. Having read many of her posts over the years, I can say safely she does not misrepresent herself. She just calls it like she sees it.

Entertaining thread, but can someone call the grammar police?

not me please----- i am lets say honerated haha

Wow facinated, you have some real nerve… can’t get people to see things your way so you resort to name calling and personal insults… not cool, very unprofessional. When exactly did this thread become about you and not the OP and her strife with the girl causing her grief? Seriously… if you don’t like how the posters on this thread are playing take your ball and go home…

As for the little girl, I think a good Military Academy/Reform School is in order, that is if her parents care enough to send her before she gets tossed in a Juvenile Hall.

Misty Blue is indeed an alias, my mother had me christened under a different name entirely.
I never said I was one of the people who might be taking web page shots to save. FWIW, I’m not. I’ve personally never had a business issue with you, I’m not part of that crowd.
Although I did find some oddly humorous reading this morning…did a post search for posts that mention your user-name. 12 pages of posts…about 90% of them of people you’ve insulted or been rude to and who find you…what’s the saying?..as interesting as raisins in stuffing.
To reply to another post on this thread you addressed to me: No, I’m not trying to hide your identity…not even from Batman. You have your stallion’s name in your signature line and your full name as your e-mail address, CSI wasn’t needed to determine who you are.

Kooki…best of luck to you and your SO for tonight’s fence repair session.

ha ha misty blue - ha ha now i wondered where you got the saying of raisins in stuffing
ha ha ha X

to funny

one that loves themself so much ought to watch out that there own off spring dont turn out like the op and the child mentioned

can happen does happen – thy art will rebell if thy art is not giving

Back to the brat–I mean, kid… I certainly hope she’ll get it through her head that trespassing or doing ANYTHING to anyone else’s property is not allowed, period. It’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. She reminds me a bit of a girl at my barn, who has been caught attempting to “free-longe” horses, among other things. This girl knows little about horses and less about boundaries. She ignores advice people give her (even when she asks for it!) and just does whatever she wants. We’re hoping the BO knocks her into place soon, it’s getting ridiculous. I think this problem will be much more easily solved than yours, kookicat. Good luck, I hope the thread stays open long enough for you to give some more updates.

I think the thread became about me when I spoke against the agression toward a child.

Maybe Iron Horse and I could swap husbands
You guys sooooo crack me up!!

He collects motorcycles, but he does handle the horses very well too, so I guess I’ll keep him!

I think the thread became about me when I spoke against the agression toward a child.

I think the thread became about you due to the 40+ replies you have on this thread using insults to defend your deliberate misinterpretation of the jesting names used on this thread to describe an atrociously behaved 12 year old.
It’s not all about you, Kooki might not appreciate the constant attention-mongering and pot-stirring you seem to be enjoying so much on this thread. It follows a pattern you’ve established on many other threads…arguing, insulting and name calling endlessly trying to cause a ruckus for willfully “misunderstanding” comments.

Wow! I went to bed too early last night!

Now for a guilty confession - anybody else beginning to find this thread as addicting as the Florida Horse Saga?

Kooki - good luck with the fence repair and do take the advice to make sure your SO is not alone with the awful girl. I also think she would not think twice about accusing him of inappropriate advances just to get back at you.

After removing 49 posts and editing out the off-topic, personal, insulting, etc. commentary from quite a few others, we’re returning the thread to the open forum. Our sincere apologies if some comments are now out of context. Guess everyone assumed someone else had reported the thread…

We’ve called a MAJOR TIME OUT here.

A few points:

 • NOBODY, including facinated, has defended the actions of the child.

 • facinated took issue with the language being directed towards the child–he apparently did not share other posters’ sense of humor in that regard and took offense at insults directed at a child.

 • other posters took issue with facinated’s wicked witch scenario reference, etc.–they apparently did not share his sense of humor in that regard and took offense at an insult potentially directed at the OP.

 • downward spiral ensues

 • off-color/offensive personal references made re: facinated

 • retaliation ensues

 • frustration mounts

 • thread loses virtually all connection to OP, with past business dealings, advertising strategies, stolen blanket references are all brought into play

 • further downward, OT, personal spiraling with eventual late night incredibly inappropriate postings

Quite a few people posted inappropriate comments on this thread that pushed each other’s patience over the edge. We’ve addressed some of these matters privately with those involved.

One poster did not think some of the comments used were appropriate in reference to a child. He’s entitled to that opinion.

We don’t currently have any defined rule against calling an anonymous person outside of this board names, so folks can call the child a brat if they see fit. Facinated can disagree and explain why. Everyone else can disagree with him and explain why–that’s was going on for about 15 pages when we first checked things out.

But NOBODY should be escalating matters beyond that–yes, it’s frustrating on all sides to hear the same argument over and over. <insert reference to ignore button here>

Sometimes, a mutually satisfying conclusion can’t be reached. The solution is not to escalate. The mods don’t want to have to delete your posts!

So, has the fence repair been finished yet?

So…about that fence? Any keyings to vehicles? Any new damage? Sightings, etc?

Good heavens!! And special thanks to Cloudy who gave me the synopsis. Much appreciated.

Sounds to me like the bottom line here is that the kid was out of control to begin with, mom pawned kid off on the poor grandparents who are no more equipped to handle the kid than mom AND have age/health as a disadvantage, and our dear OP is probably the first person on the planet to ever give the kid a cold shot of water as a deterrent.

Horsewomen can be interesting when it comes to kids. Fair but decisive. Kind but demanding appropriate behavior. Me? I generally like kids. But to be frank, I am still a horsewoman. So when someone gets in my space, acts inappropriately, etc, I try to make them think they’re gonna die for 3 seconds and then I go back about my day. I also wear a red ribbon in my pony tail… Kids seem to respond just about as well as the horses.

All that said…what NOW? What’s the plan?

Kooki, Please please please do make sure someone else is there when your SO is there with this girl. More than one somebodies is even better.

It would not be the first time a troubled young girl made life impossible for someone by making false claims against them. Do not put your SO at risk for this, please.

I do not think the grandmother is enough either. If she is reading the brat child can say that gramma did not see him touch her there becuase she was reading.

I do give you much credit for trying to take the high road on this one.

sticky?
Maybe Iron Horse and I could swap husbands
uh, is there a sticky for that? free lease husband or husband at stud?

where’s kookicat and what time is it in england? she needs to make sure she has a double fence line just in case.

and rats, we’ve had some posts deleted! so lots of good info for op gone, name-calling wise.
I think the “child” (of satan) should not be allowed back on your property, period, with or w/o your SO to watch over her, cause she will look around and find things to come back and destroy.

Goeslikestink and Thomas, can you 2 go over and help Kookicat? We’ve got our hands full here with Blind Alter and the crayon trainer and making our costumes for that event.

uh mod, my dog Scheherazade really wasn’t offended by the comment about girl dogs.

But that’s what we’ve nick-named my liver chestnut mare!
OMG - Am I in trouble?

I just came on to view the latest carnage and lo and behold came across the most valid point in 15 pages!!!

Kooki, Trub is right! DO NOT let your SO be alone with kiddie. I work with the population this kid belongs to and she WILL use anything she can, the truth is no object. Please be around when SO is watching her!

O.k. I so dare someone to use this as their sig.

For a while there, I felt like I was re-reading Catch-22 and I didn’t like it all that much the first time around!

I absolutely did not read every post on here, but “child” does not mean innocent. My husband was boarding at a TWH barn where a group of pre-teen to teen aged girls sprayed hairspray on one of their fillies tails and set it on fire. Many medical bills later, the tail was amputated, and these girls were bragging about the incident to their friends. Child laws being what they are, nothing ever happened to them, not even a slap on the wrist.

I would question a 12 year old intentially causing the horses to run in a frenzy by chasing them with a stick. That is not a sweet innocent “want to pet the pony” action.

Anyway…and who cares if the OP doesn’t know her neighbors? Everybody is DIFFERENT, and some people (myself included) would rather have peace and quiet then chum it up with everyone on the block.
