Lucky you. I wanted to breed my Pregelstrand daughter to him years ago, but a difficult birth with her first foal did enough damage that she couldn’t have another baby. I’d also LOVE to find another Pregelstrand daughter, but they are few & far between now.
re the damsire double up… i know someone who has a mare that is like that with mahagonni and she is spectacular and her babies are out of this world. Don’t know if I would do it routinely, but for a good stallion I might do it once.

Well, I thought I’d post again finally. After coming down here several times to check the computer and reading all the posts about her NOT having her foal yet!! I thought I’d check really late, I thought, surely by now something will be happening! LOL!! Silly silly mare. And what is she doing? EATING. Of course.

I would think she is just fat too, but I HAVE felt the baby move recently (yesterday? day before? they are a little blurred together). :lol::lol:
She was inseminated on 4/24 with frozen… so for those keeping track of days she will be at 365 days on 4/24.
Meanwhile my maiden mare is looking as close, or closer than Chloe is. So I will put up the b/w cam (unless I get really ambitious and buy a color cam today) and IF she starts looking like she is going to go I will swap the cam over to her.
Maybe you should stick a pin in?

And can I have a small melt down vent here??? For the NON BREEDERS out there… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t call a breeder at 7 or 8 am on a Sat or Sun unless you KNOW that they are awake!!! I’ve had 3, count them 3, calls this am all starting at 7 am after being on foal watch this week. OK, one was someone trying to sell me something (yeah THAT went well LOL), and I know that I am normally awake at this time of the day, but during the day is just about the only time that you can sort of safely sleep and get over some of the sleep depervation… Heck, after I finish coffee and hay the horses I’m going back to bed.
Hmmm…only showing TV fuzzies now; no picture coming across…don’t tell me we waited all this time and when she’s foaling, the cam goes off?? :lol:

I FORCED Chloe to go outside today… I know I am such a horrible horse abuser to make her go out in the beautiful FL weather (it is in the 80’s here with sunny skies and a mild breeeze). LOL
While she is out the cam is down. I have also deceided to get another cam for my maiden today. It just makes me too nervous to not have her on the cams and since it is only $20 a month to run the cam… I’m going to go ahead and put her on the net too. I’ll update everything when she is up and live. Unfortunately that means that I will have to get another wireless cam - really didn’t want to do it, but it isn’t possible to run a wired cam at this barn to my house for various reasons. Hopefully I can get a decent reception… we’ll see what happens!
Of course this will force Chloe into having her baby tonight LOL - I’ll spend the money and she’ll have the baby and Dove won’t have hers! Murphy’s Law LOL.

I know, that pooooooorrrrr mini - lord she looks like she is going to burst. She reminds me of the little girl on Willy Wonka that eats all the blueberry stuff and blows up…
