Chloe FILLY 4/10 - on CAM 1 tonight, Dove Filly! 4/5 - Dove/Ruby CAM 2 tonight (4/11

Ok I get that we can’t name it “Come MOnday” because it has to be an S name.
So how about “Someday Chloe”?
although I do still think she will have it on Monday

Well I will say that y’all are keeping me amused and making me have a better attitude than I would normally! LOL.

I’m about to bring the fat mares in and Dove WILL be up tonight also as I now have everything that I need to make it work. Will post an update and the link to Dove when I get done with evening chores!

I think it’s fate…Baby needs an “S” name - Suerte. :stuck_out_tongue:

OMG!!! ROFL!!! Then it WILL be a filly and God help the person that breeds her!!!

Y’all just need to hush - it just ain’t funny LOL.

Esp since if it is a filly it will be ME breeding her!!!:eek::eek:

I can’t believe it.

I’m back in Birmingham now and she still hasn’t gone. I thought that as soon as I was away from the computer she would lay down and push it out. She has got to be so miserable and exhausted. I feel bad for her…and you. Are you totally loopy/slap happy/punch drunk yet? Wow, that is a bright neon yellow tail wrap. Is that supposed to be a beacon directing the foal in the right direction?!

By the way, my view of the cam is very “snowy”. Are you having bad weather now?

Sure, the tail wrap can be a beacon to guide the baby out! LOL. The weather isn’t bad - just my cams are wireless and I have to readjust everyday. I am in the process of doing so now… I’m almost there I think. I may leave it alone for a little bit… they seem to do better when it gets dark out??? who knows why.

OK, Chloe has easily expressed skim milk… not that it means a dang thing. Vulva is actually gaping open a litlte for crying out loud… the baby can fall out just about. She did NOT eat a BIT OF HER HAY OUTSIDE today (I guess so she can have room to hoover up her stall??? LOL) She also stood at the gate all day long today and looked over it begging to be brought in.

Update on Dove (waiting on Heather to help set me up on that - if Chloe’s cam goes down for a little bit that is why btw). VERY easily expressed skim milk, very sticky, and after expressing it the droplets stay on the teats and don’t want to fall off… VERY sticky and almost wax like (wax as in wax before foaling). Because she is a maiden she could go tonight or in 3 weeks from now. She was bred 5/3 so is at 342 days on 4/9.

Another evening of mare stare. Excellent.

I do take the no eating hay as a good sign. Can’t wait to ‘meet’ Dove!

Of course not eating hay outside does not translate to not eating hay in her stall… but she is a little slower maybe tonight on vacumming out her stall??:lol:

I am getting very frustrated with cam interference tonight! It seems that I get everything nice and clear and then WHAM I get statticy, black bars etc… I cannot for the LIFE of me make it better. I go back and forth from window (where the reciever is) to computer to check picture and I can’t get it clear enough. I’m still waiting on Heather to get Dove up.

Does Chloe seem quieter to y’all or is it just me? She is still kicking and flipping tail around, but it seems less dramatic? Maybe??

She does seem a bit quieter tonight than last night…she was really moving around a lot yesterday.

Hmmmmm. After watching for 2 minutes I saw her tail move continuously, she bit her sides 2 or 3 times, and kicked her belly at least once. Are you having a bug problem there right now or is all this tail activity purely labor agitation?

Is emeraldTwo down?

emerald two is down, but we are about to get everything up and running… i may loose chloe for a few mins so bear with us all…

and there are bugs (FL, hot, yeah, bugs) but she isn’t as agitated and pissed tonight.

OMG 23 years ago we spent 6 months in Panama City from May to November. I vividly remember the biting flies, the heat and the roads that were wet, not because it was raining, but because it was sooooo humid. My husband used to run at Midnight because it was only 90 degrees instead of 100.
Everytime I whine that I want to move somewhere warmer, he reminds me of this.

Is it just me or is she really not impressed with something?

OK, Cam 2 is up with Dove… what all did I miss with the Princess???

Here is the link to Dove’s (aka the HAPPIEST PREGNANT MARE IN THE WORLD) cam. I will warn you that the color gets wonky on it for some reason, but I"m just glad she is up. And she is a maiden and is actually sort of a high risk mare so I REALLY needed her up!!

Wonderful, I just realized that Dove is in foal to Tanzeln. I can’t wait to see it. I had a lovely Tanzeln filly last year (Tallulah Belle). She has the best, amateur-friendly personality. My brother is non-horsey and tends to be nervous around them. When he comes to visit and I can’t find him I know where to look…he’s in her stall or pasture AGAIN. She is also very athletic. She came out running and jumping. I think she’ll be a good eventer. She runs back and forth along the bumpiest section of pasture I have just so that she can jump the ditches. And now she has started laying down and wallowing in the pond like a hippo. Nothing scares her. I think you’ll have a fabulous baby by Tanzeln and Dove.

We’re breeding two mares to Tanzeln this year. The Cassels are great people and so easy to work with.

Why is Dove a high risk mare? What is her story?

Why is she high risk?
