I really feel for you, I really don’t know how you can stand it! My mare isn’t due until the end of September :eek: and I am going to just be a basketcase, I know it! I hope Chloe cooperates and puts us all out of our misery and has her highly anticipated bundle of joy…Hang in there, we’re all rootin for her (and you too!!)
Thanks! I just want both these girls to go ahead and have the babies then I’m done until end of May/early June. I think Chloe will be within the hour and Dove about 1 2 hours after her. I also don’t think Dove is going to get dramatic before foaling - I think she is just going to lie down and have a baby. She is that type of gal! LOL. Dove looks to be hunting a place now to lie down. or was.

Anissa, I hope for your sake that Chloe does lay down for the birth. Are you a good catcher? Has she had a foal before, and did she lay down to have it?
yep, I think (for whatever that is worth) about an hour or so behind Chloe.

not sure if she lay down or not for the one other foal that she had. I got in contact with the man that bred the one other baby out of her and he was GREAT at giving me info on how she was to breed, but I neglected to ask, and he didn’t tell me anythign about the foaling other than she was a good mom and it was difficutl to keep weight on her prior to weaning.

And I would think Chloe’s former owner or whatever would have told you if there had been any problems of note
