Chloe is soo going to foal tonight! Look at all that side-biting.
Last year a friend of mine slept in the barn for 2 weeks straight hoping to watch her mare’s last foal being born. Turned her out in pasture one morning, went to get coffee, and guess what was waiting for her when she came back!
Gee thanks!!! I can’t even get straw, so it is my hay that I"m using (and I HATE cleaning the stalls with hay in them… yuck). I love picking colors for vet wrap… I always get the bright, obnoxious colors (and a few “neutrals” just for if something happens at a show). Last year I wanted a filly so bad that I went to the extreme of being superstitious and used PINK everything for my mare - the feed scoop, the bucket she ate out of, the vet wrap…everything. I got my filly (but don’t think it had anything to do with all the pink lol).
You think this is side biting?? you should have seen her a few nights ago… She is MUCH quieter tonight than she has been the last few nights. And Dove is still the statue.
Stop feeding them!! All they do is eat hay.
That is what I told my pony… she didn’t believe me, but she finally had the darn thing.
That is what my friend Joe said too LOL. Although, Dove ain’t eating… no grain, and not much in the way of her bedding tonight that I can tell. Chloe is eating hay, but is more pushing it around and nibbeling than Hoovering like she was up until last night…

I’ve been following this thread now for 3 days and its killing me!!! MareStare is just as addictive as facebook and COTH… As if I need ANOTHER online addiction to keep me from writing papers! :lol:
Learntofly I am on your boat… I should be studying for my state boards right now… But what am I doing??? Milling on marestare and COTH… Oh how I need a support group…
Maybe they’ll pull a fast one on us… ?? One can hope right…
wow, WildREDhorse, I don’t know what state boards are, but they sound significantly more important than the english paper I have due soon that I have to write on “what it would be like if 5 20th century poets were in the same room in which you capture their personalities and discussed themes closely”
I’m in the same boat as both of you LearnToFly and wildREDhorse. I’m (hopefully) finishing up my masters degree this spring and am trying to write my thesis. I’m in crisis mode with it - aka only getting 4 or so hrs of sleep a night and working on it the rest of the day, every day :no: The only distraction I have is to check up on the ladies every couple of hours. Hasn’t paid off so far but I’m not going anywhere for quite a few hours anyway!
lol, I read your question and I was like doh… WHAT? That sort of paper will kick my a$$ faster than… oh… literature block… google… That sort of paper will kick my a$$ faster than it takes kirstey alley to eat a big mac, tehehe that made me giggle

I’m pretty sure I’ll end up spitting this paper out about er… 5 minutes before I hand it in. But, I did that with the last one and not only did she give me an “A” but she wrote “BRILLIANT” in big letters across the top. I don’t know how. I’m an advertising major.
acottongim- you could probably enlist the help of all the college students on COTH-where there will invariably be SOMEONE procrastinating on COTH at any given time, to keep watch and call you… If you want to get some sleep…

Anissa’s gone to (hopefully) take a short nap and I’m on cam watch until at least midnight. I appreciate any help! My strict instructions are to call her if either goes down. I used Anissa’s login to reply so you’ll know the girls are not alone, but will be signing off and just monitoring. You’re all making me feel old, talking about your thesis/college/boards! But glad the ladies are providing a little comic relief… think Anissa’s sense of humor is fading but that could also be because I told her she’s losing her credibility!

Welllll… it is on the effects of climate change on wildlife and what people who manage conservation land in New England can do to help wildlife adapt. I have been dreading writing it since I started the program last year and sure enough it’s kicking my butt :lol: You know what they say about no pain no gain though. Definitely worth it in the long run as I’m learning a ton, but I’m in SERIOUS horse withdrawal, I think I forget what my horse looks like :eek: (just kidding!)
I think your idea of the college foal watch team is a great one. I’m not getting much sleep anyway, might as well be doing something useful 
So they must have held off to wait for me to come back online with a working laptop thats not a Mac…time to get to business, I have class in the AM :lol:

I’ve finished 3 papers so far today, so I think I deserve a mare-watching break before I tackle the one due at 9 in the morning :dead:
