Chloe FILLY 4/10 - on CAM 1 tonight, Dove Filly! 4/5 - Dove/Ruby CAM 2 tonight (4/11

Thanks… and I think Chloe will be fine, that was just a big baby and she is a little sore I think. Gosh she is a sensible mare… what a perfect broodie!!

Baby has the getting up/down thing and the milk bar figured out… she has had several GOOD nurses and Chloe is just loaded with milk (I love me a good broodmare that does her job!!! Makes life so much easier!). I already called my main vet and one of them will be out in the am to check everyone up close.

I’m going to take a quick shower then check them again… I’m fading WAY fast at this point.

My mare Tschadina will be bred to Huno. Tschadina is a maiden so we’ll see how things go. Maybe I should bring her down so she can have a talk with Tanz.

She is lovely - big knees. Don’t you love that moment when filly and mom meet and give that little nicker of recognition. Happy days!

The ONLY thing I don’t like about foaling is the waiting and the agony until you know that it is all ok. I just can’t get over how big this filly is… guys I am 5’10" and this filly comes to my waist (and most of my height is legs).

trakmom… that is right (blonde/tired moment). We are going to do the P and E therapy on Tanz and a heavy duty oxytocin remine on her this year… if that does’t work, she will be retired.

I need to get Val checked tomorrow to see where she is at on her cycle when the vet comes out to check Chloe and the filly… she goes to Oskar sometime early next week depending on her cycle. Chloe is going to go to Kovington I do believe.

Congrats, Anissa. I missed it - Marestare was down for a while, so I gave up. She looks like a cutie in the pics - and BIG!

Whoo Hoooooo!

Congratulations on your gorgeous new filly Anissa! She is an absolute doll, a big doll, but there is nothing wrong with that.

Glad everything is going well for mom and baby. Now you have some time to recuperate before the next one is due…don’t you?

Congrats on an absolutely gorgeous filly.

Thank you DY and ASH… She is a spunky big thing! Vet will be here early afternoon to check mom and babe out, but don’t anticipate anything being wrong with either. She has been cracking me up bouncing around the stall and trying to canter. I will turn her out for a little while later on.

Next foal (and last one this year) is not due until end of May/early June so I have time to recoop and play with the 4 on the ground now.

They’re so adorable together! I’m glad Chloe’s loving being a mom!

you may actually catch up on sleep now!

Your filly is really beautiful and very precious, it helps me to see another happy newborn, best wishes for a long and happy life.

YEAH!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! (I was able to actually watch it live, but I kept forgetting to post on here). She is beautiful. Hoping the vet check went smoothly today and everyone got a “clean bill of health.”

Thanks everyone… Vet check went smooth as silk… everyone is completly healthy and deemed “great” by my vet. Mom did not tear birthing that monster baby and the baby’s IgG was exteremly high. I let mom and baby out for the first time today after the vet check… we are due to get big storms tonight - Sun am so she wouldn’t be able to go out tomorrow. Here is a photo of her outside with mommy:

She had to announce herself to all the “big” horses today when she went outside. She was whinnying and prancing around once we got out of the barn. LOL.

Since I have to have all the babies/mommies in tonight/tomorrow… I think I will put RUBY and DOVE in the other stall with the cam on. I won’t leave the cams on all night since I want them to rest, but will put them on until 10 or so (unless I fall asleep, in which case they WILL be on all night LOL). I will turn them on for a little while tomorrow too… that way everyone can see Ruby too (hopefully Dove has gotten over her snit).

Big and belated congrats on your beautiful baby girl, Anissa! Enjoy! :D:D:D:D:D

What kind of a snit could that calm Dove get into? Please quite calling Senorita V a monster–she is just a little big for her age. By the way, does Chloe’s baby have a name yet?

She didn’t like neighbors and was charging the stall walls… that is why I moved them outside for a while (didn’t want to risk Dove stepping on little Ruby - who looks even smaller when next to Chloe’s baby!).

We are calling Chloe’s baby Sara. She just strikes me as a Sara. That won’t be her registered name though… I am still thinking on that one. Mom wants some Itailian name in honor of daddy.

The name Sara is beautiful and it sounds calm and dignified.

The official title of the Republic of Venice)(Repubblica di Venezia,7th to 18th century) was:
“La Serenissima”, which in Italian means the most serene.
“Serenissima” sounds very appropriate for “Sara”.
Congratulations !

Here’s my suggestion…

Cara Veneziana (means dear one from Venice) and is pronounced like “car” with an “a” at the end.

My Veneziano daughter is named Rica Veneziana which means rich girl from Venice.

That was the name that mom came up with… I like it but is it going to be too hard for an announcer??? The other thing is this filly is anything but Serene LOL. (mom said maybe it would make her serene LOL).

Siegi I love your suggestion, but it has to be an “S” name since the mare’s name is Sweet Chloe.

It is so funny to compare the sizes of Ruby and Sara though - they are 5 days apart and SARA looks like the one that is older. I just cannot get over how large that filly is.

How about Sera Veneziana. I don’t know if it is correct Italian, but I think Sera means evening, and she is black as night!
