Chrome-ology . . .

I am a Chromie. Being California-raised made me a fan before the KY Derby, but watching the intensity of the staff of Harris Ranch (where he was foaled and raised) during the race won me over. This horse means a lot to more than his owners and trainers. I hope he wins the Dubai World Cup.

Sherman pleased. Says Chrome five lengths better this year than last.

With the change in ownership of Chrome and all the remaining DAP horses, things seem to have really evened out and calmed down. I’m so glad that all concerned have been having a very positive time. The long time in Dubai seems to have been good for Chrome, and certainly a once (or twice) in a lifetime experience for the crew who have been out there with him. For everyone’s sake, and especially Chrome and Art, I’m wishing all of them lots of luck this coming Saturday.

Post position 11.

Enjoying all the interviews.

The eleven hole imo is a good post for Chrome.

FROSTED is well backed and as this link alludes KEEN ICE at 25 - 1 maybe a sleeper. Good read.

Chrome’s exercise rider started riding bulls and donkeys.

He also grew up in Watts. He fits right in with the rest of the crew, doesn’t he? And he and his wife run pony rides at Santa Anita???

Looking forward to the race. At least nobody can say that Chrome isn’t fit and ready to go. Art says no excuses if they don’t win, and they sure aren’t ducking anybody. May the best horse win and they all come home safely.

IMO the calming down part from the Coburns’ end must have been part of the deal - they went from trashing and bashing to suddenly, overnight, telling people on their new Silver State Racing page not to criticize any other trainers, owners, horses… rather hard to shut that down when they have usually fanned the flames. A complete 180 degree switch - for the better.

Chrome is older, more mature, has more muscle - and is going into the race perfectly!

Does anyone know if a live stream of the race will be available online for those of us whose cable companies don’t offer TVG?

Thank you!

NYRA also is showing early live feed, MUCH better coverage than TVG.

Much the best.

Leading American trained Money Earner now.

Well done Chrome.

That was impressive. I’m so glad he’s still running at 5. And no one deserved this vindication more than Art Sherman.

Art Sherman: “The Chromies will be going crazy tonight.”

Fantastic performance!

I wish more top 3 yos would race at 4 or 5 when they are bigger, stronger and more aggressive (in a good way)

Considering the trip he had, that was very very impressive.

Will be interesting to see the Trakus stats to see how much ground he covered. he was a mile wide the whole way.

Very impressive.

Amazing win! Congrats to all California Chrome peeps! He was such a good horse and kept going despite the slipping saddle. Good balance on Victor’s part, too!

Earnings are now at about $12.5m. Which puts him something like 4th or 4th highest earner of all time.
