Colored Breeches

Showing, schooling, schooling shows! whatever, whenever…do you keep it classic or are you on the bolder side? Love to hear thoughts!

Showing only tan.

Schooling I like - black, gray colors, brown colors (including brick), and tan.

Nothing bold for me but I am 50 so I think that may play a roll for me. I love Animo breeches and some are a bit blingy for me… but very cute on others.

I have worn pink breeches that I bought for a Breast Cancer Charity horse show. They had a pink class and it was fun.

My trainer hates them, but I own a pair of traffic cone orange schooling breeches. They are great. Wore them while trail riding and didn’t have to worry about getting shot by hunters. I have a pair of pretty blue winter breeches and some merlot-purple winter breeches as well. Tan is so boring, so I reserve it mainly for shows.

I’m pretty traditional, I stick with tan TS breeches for schooling and showing! I sometimes school in grey or black breeches if I’m not in a lesson though.

I stick to pretty plain colors as well. I love brown, grey, or any color that hides dirt well (so no black for me). Recently, I have been dreaming of some French blue breeches!

For schooling, I’m liking these with the racing stripe:

(I have the blue on blue.)

For showing hunters, tan; for showing dressage, white.

I prefer dark grey, brown, navy, and tan. My tack is fairly conservative too, (other than flashy brow bands, but I"m an eventer). I don’t do flashy saddle pads, apparel, or tack even for schooling, but I don’t judge those who do.

Showing - Tan or Greenish-Tan

Schooling Shows - I’ll go colors. I love my maroon, black and pink, denim, and more. I also show jumpers, so it’s not a huge deal.

I love color. I show primarily jumpers so early week I will wear a grey or nave blue then go to my tans or whites. Schooling shows I usually always wear colors.

Color. I only wear tan for showing, I ride hunters. I have Pipers if that says anything about my style.

I like gray, dark blue, or brown for schooling. Only tan for showing.

at home and schooling at shows I wear conservative colors (dark and light gray, navy, black, brown) for showing I almost only wear tan and white, but I have worn colors on occasion

I like colour for schooling breeches - green, rust, grey/blue, eggplant, mushroom are my current collection (I think I am getting addicted).
I only wear tans/whites for horse showing, however I don’t mind conservative schooling colours (grey, black) in the schooling classes during the week (jumpers).

I love color at home. I have a pair of baby blue breeches that are fabulous, although they immediately get dirty. I always ride in collared shirts, breeches, and tall boots, with my hair tucked up/braided, so splashing out with colored breeches makes me feel a little less boring. I also have a bunch of schooling pads with political patches on them, like Stop the Bombing, or Smash your TV (my horses have political show names), just for fun.

I show (jumpers) in tan or light grey- my young horse and I aren’t up to needing whites yet!

I don’t actually care who else wears what, or notice, most of the time. I am just sort of plain in my showing taste. No bling, and a few touches of color here and there.

When I wear tan breeches, I feel like I look as though I’ve forgotten to put my pants on.

I come from breed show world so my show breeches are dove grey or steel grey.
Schooling breeches are rust, brown plaid, army green, houndstooth, mocha etc

I love color at home! I have brown, grey, military green, denim, turquoise, I even have a pair of pink ones! I am lusting after the TS Trophy Black Forest and Boysenberry among like 15 other colors. Show only in tan, I show hunters.

My colors are green & beige, so I usually stick to beige/tan or brown breeches, but I do have a green pair I like, as well as a tan plaid pair.

I show in White (I am coming from dressageland) or occasionally tan.

but for schooling I just bought a pair of mint colored breeches, I think they are so fun… now to find matching stuff for my horse (;

showing is tan or olive

schooling is usually black because it hides stains and dirt and undesirable shapes that tan so meanly accentuates!

Shows - tan
Schooling or schooling shows - any color except neons
