Which document says how many tubes of PP etc the horse had? This story reads like a trashy novel- you couldn’t invent better fiction!

It’s on pg 71 of the Hearing Transcript. “Pasted” at 5:08 with one thing, two more at 5:58, “Three different pastes” at 7:25, three more at 8:10. That’s from the questioning, the response from SR is that it was lactanase and PP. Not clear on how much of which exactly, but that’s 9 tubes in a three hour window
I am just thinking holy shit that is like over $300 of PP in one day! No wonder medication bills are so high at the top hunter barns . At four days of showing, over $1k per show for PP!
Any screenwriters out there can turn this saga into a reality show??? It would be ‘Toddler and Tiara’s’ meets ‘My Strange Addiction’ meets more needles than on ‘Intervention.’ I have some connections at the Bravo network :D.
This is pathetic. A Big R judge doesn’t know enough about the rules to have any concerns about giving a horse a case of PP before it shows might somehow be performance altering. Come on!
IPEsq: Thanks for the Dropbox link. Is the good Dr.'s affidavit available? Perhaps I missed it in this sea of fingerpointing?
“Take the high road LLC” that owns Don Juan is no coincidence.I’d be willing to bet my house that KLD is funding this.
Docs are up on RMHP now, too: http://www.ratemyhorsepro.com/equine-court/civil-matters/brigid-colvin-v-united-states-equestrian-federation-inc.aspx
Still don’t see BP’s affidavit. I feel like that might be even more entertaining reading, to add to this trainwreck.
Mundane legal question - why, in the “petition” or “complaint”, does BC’s lawyer state that in the equestrian world, VC is like Tiger Woods and BC is like Tiger Woods’ father and the Williams’ sisters father?
I didn’t catch that, I’d started glazing over as a result of the insanity by this point I think

That assumes facts not in evidence. We know he had 9 paste doses of two substances over 3 hours. For all we know, 8 of the could be partial doses of lactanase and maybe 1 tube of PP.i think 9 is unlikely. As unlikely as 1 tube, but again, we don’t know
First Bill Cosby, then Jared from Subway. Now Colvin and Parker. What’s next? Are we going to find out Mr. Rogers kicked puppies??
Too bad that Inclusive and the other horses can’t talk.
Too bad no one asked any of the grooms, including the one who walked to the warm-up with Inclusive. We can certainly guess as to the reason, but I expect the grooms could clear up a few things, were they so inclined. And of course many grooms are adept at medicating as well…

And what about the “four young girls”, unnamed in the hearing documents, who participated in the riding and prep of the horse? Surely they know something as well?
Ok, who’s KDL?

I, too, find it strange that these “four young girls” were not questioned. I am sure they can provide more insight as to what happened as they helped prepare the horse. I am also wondering how “young” these girls are, as if they prepped at Derby Finals for BP that they know the horsing industry quite well.

Ok, who’s KDL?[/QUOTE]Big hint in post #163. Search the USEF horse recordings for Don Juan.
So folks, Tori Colvin and Sophie Simpson are very talented child riders whose parents and cohorts have let them down, badly. So, what are we, the owners and parents and riders going to say to USEF and USHJA about the drugging problem? For a horse to have its jugular vein so damaged that blood can’t be drawn is absurd. For a trainer, horse whistler or whatever to testify to the amount of medications and pre ride work a particular horse is given for it to jump around at 3’6" hunter course is disgraceful. We, the owners, parents and riders, need to say to our national body, enough is enough. Time to go to the FEI rules model because this is not horsemanship and borders on the verge of animal abuse. Then of course, there is the example we are providing to youngsters like Tori and Sophie about the way the world is. I am embarrassed for all adults involved in these messes and I am ashamed that we are providing these youngsters with such poor examples of what horsemanship and animal care should be. So how many of us on this list are going to write to USEF and USHJA and say, enough, change the rules.

Pretty sure it’s Karen Long Dwight. She owns Tori’s jumper Don Juan (I believe)

I agree he comes off in the transcript as an idiot. But he is wholeheartedly committed to BP and would probably do anything to protect her.
Who is Steve Rivetts? The name doesn’t ring a bell?
Since you can’t legally IV magnesium right before showing these days, gotta get as much PP in the horse as possible as close to the class as possible. (This is snark).
USEF ought to yank the judges’ licenses as well if they are involved in drugging as trainers or competitors.
