Compiling a list of USA stallions; (Olympic & Grand Prix) file attached!

***Gosh this looks so much better on excel!!

UPDATED AS I GET MORE INFO (from PM’s, research and emails) I made it public:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0Rov-CoB9Y5S0lPaTYzZUVYZEk/edit?usp=sharing

Let me know who I forgot. I’m not sure on a lot of the GP heights, but some of the stallions have competed at various HIT circuit grand prixs.****

Here is a list I started to compile of USA Olympic, International & Grand Prix show jumping stallions. Also included is a space for stallions not mentioned in those categories who have sired Olympic or Grand Prix offspring. Please feel free to post any I’ve missed (I know there are lots). I guess my goal was to show what is available here in the USA (preferably fresh semen or LFG).

Tagaelen is not an International showjumper.

For Trakehners you can add Horales PgE*, Abdullah PgE*, (his son) Special Memories PgE* and Hirtentanz. Windfall PgE* is an Olympic medal horse in eventing.

Lagoheidor has GP offspring (in both jumpers and dressage).

GP: Tacorde
Gervantus He was a GP horse and had a offspring in the Olympics.
Kumano Young horse already doing GP.
Ikoon
Portland L
Rio Grande
Futurist
Carthago Sun III
Novalis

Now if someone could go through and tell us which ones have offspring competing in grand prixs that would be amazing! :)only ones I know for SURE are Mezcalero and As Di Villagana.

Sent you a PM about some on the list that do not have Grand Prix results.

A few more to add to your list - Contagious, Campesino, Conejo, Roller Coaster, Contefino.

What are we agreeing on as definition of “Grand Prix” - common height, at least 1.50m or show format, (differs from US to Europe as you know)?

Great idea with this list, btw!

But Tagaelen did Grand Prix right?

the “best” result on record is

Canadian Country Classic Halton Place, Halton, ON, Aug 2008

- 1.10m Jumper - 8th

What an outstanding and very useful idea! Looking forward to seeing the complete list.

Maybe break it up into 1.40M , 1.50M and 1.60M? “Grand Prixs” can vary in height

Grand Filou (by Grannus) stands in FL and did the GP in CAN and Europe (I think on the later)

Ok keep the names coming that I missed. I could put together an excel spreadsheet and include: bloodlines, owners name/contact, state, price, semen type (frozen or fresh), highest level of offspring, etc. Just don’t know if I went through the trouble how I could share it with everyone. Ideas?

The Double H boys-- Orlando and Rebozo

Beautiful list! Thanks for compiling it!

One question, is Utrillo Van De Heffinck actually physcially at Hilltop Farm? I know he belongs to the Brullemail Stud, and I always thought that Hilltop just marketed his frozen semem. It would be cool if he were actually in the US so breeders could use fresh.

Judgement definitely has at least one offspring competing at GP levels. I know Lisa Carlsen is riding a Judgement baby called World’s Judgement in the 1.40m-1.45m at Spruce etc.

No, he is not in the US, he is only available frozen.

Ok I can take him off the list.

Judgement also has Counselor competing in the 1.45m.

Ok edited as we find more stallions and info. I emailed some owners for more info so if I hear back I will update the sheet.
