Conformation Critique---new pic from a year and a half later--new video last post

Long time from the last Pearson update. We’ve been working hard on his canter and transitions. Putting together little courses and also exploring the world of Dressage with my lovely part boarder. Today we had a mini clinic with our closest A circuit trainer, a little stutter at the beginning, but by the end, both Pearson and I figured it out.

So, Pearson and I attended his second ever show, and first one over proper fences. We had a few green horse moments and some rider errors, but over all a great day! Here in Canada, red is first. First in our first class , sixth in our second, third in the undersaddle.

Congratulations! My, he is so handsome and you look great. And happy, which is just the best feeling, right?

Congratulations!

BTW, how is your Standardbred doing? Sorry, I can’t remember his name, so embarrassing.

Score is happy and shiny and round. He is soon to be starting his third career as a therapy horse at a Riding for the Disabled organization. A perfect semi retirement for my sweet guy!

Wonderful! I’m sure he will be amazing at it. Standardbreds can be such kind horses. Even our racehorses are more cuddly with my daughter’s new to horses help (her BF and his father).

I always rush to this thread when I see it updated. I’m so happy to hear Score will be able to touch more lives in a positive way in his semi retirement - they can truly do it all!! P.S Pearson is looking fantastic. You must be so happy with them both.

Score on all his shiny glory, moving in to the Equine Assisted Therapy facility today. 10 minutes after unloading, he was already walking through the wheelchair ramp chute.

Things are starting to come together for Pearson. Another good learning day at our local Bronze level show. Good rhythm, good pace, didn’t look at anything. Front lead is auto, just need to tweak the hind. All in all, not too bad for a boy who’s been jumping just over a year

Very good looking! I love a horse with a large head. I think they look noble and intelligent, and of course a bigger head can accommodate a bigger brain. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Your guy is perfect, absolutely perfect.

I usually call it a noble profile.

A nice finish to the season. Pearson has exceeded all my expectations, he took everything in stride, from dealing with a crowded warm ring, to standing patiently awaiting our turn in the ring. He saw and jumped all manner of jumps and fill, and dealth with canopies blowing over and trucks backfiring. We managed to get out to three of five shows, making us finish sixth over all out of about 11 total. The blue (second here in Canada) came in our last HUS class…he was so soft, round and rhythmic on a loopy rein, I was absolutely chuffed! Up wards snd onwards to next year!
