So because you have had a personal communication with him, you believe that he is honest and not-ego filled. I see.
Can you see why those on the board might have had the opposite impression of him, based on his appearances here, the videos of him riding, and in his group?

That is the kind of riding I remember from Edward Allen Buck. That poor confused horse.
I’m surprised you found it. I thought he took everything down. He’ll probably take this one down if he gets wind of it. Too bad if there’s no way to save it.
I wonder how he got into Australia. I thought they were pretty strict about allowing people with even minor criminal records into the country.

that anyone is posting a video of you that is freely available on youtube and tiktok.
This - this is what I mean, when I say that he doesn’t react like someone who isn’t in this for his own ego.
Look, EAB, since you’re clearly reading here, might I recommend that you don’t do this? It doesn’t speak well of you. If you’re embarrassed about old riding videos, just say so. Heck, we’ve all got skeletons in our closets. I’ve got some real doozies from years and years of riding prior to getting better, and then some really bad ones when I was coming back from surgery and I’m SURE I’ve got some moments now that are significantly less than pretty.
But - acknowledging it…knowing that you are coming from a place where you’re learning and have frailties and NOT from a place where you know all and can’t walk the walk…the humility is just completely absent here. That alone is enough to dull the message you sound like you’re so desperately trying to make.

I just think everyone needs to chill.
People are not imprisoned there. Y’all know the lay of the land there. If you can’t deal with the page, or him, then there’s decisions to be made.
I guess I don’t see the point of continuing complaining about something you haven’t created, don’t run, and don’t have to pay for.
If you want to help horses then your best bet is to disseminate knowledge and encourage conversation.
See, I think you’re confusing “warning others about a charlatan” and “dealing with a page”.
The problem with people like EAB presenting themselves as experts is that it IS NOT knowledge that is being disseminated He may have the desire to have knowledge, and that IS admirable, but he presents himself as an expert. When you present yourself as an expert, and want others to follow you, there’s kind of a high bar. We out people ALL the time here for that kind of malarkey.
He also wanted people to pay for his clinics, and lessons, and that’s a problem if he doesn’t actually have the kind of knowledge he purports to have.
COTH has a low tolerance for charlatans. Look at the thread on Celeste, or NP. The board does not appreciate people calling themselves experts when they are not.
I’m not sure why we need to chill about that, it’s a feature, not a bug.

Anyone on the page at this point has heard the opinions as to the qualifications of EAB.
If it’s so bad, just leave. Start your own group.
It’s his page and rightfully speaking, he can say or do whatever he wants.
Just GO.
That’s the part I don’t get. Just go.
As long as charlatans continue to charlatan, COTH will continue to discuss them. If he showed one iota of self-restraint, I’m sure the thread, and many others, would stop. But he just doesn’t. So he continues to pour fuel on the fire and we continue to discuss it.
His post came up in my recents because I had looked for your assertion that there was interesting information in the group. You continue to defend him, therefore you’ll have pushback. YOU are every bit as culpable in keeping this thread at the top of the page.
If you want it to die, stop defending him. Or suggest to him that he defend horses with more humility and quit acting like the expert of all experts.
Or, we can continue to discuss it and it will eventually run it’s course as do all threads on COTH.

I can’t process how you reconcile this statement with the way EAB operates on a daily basis.
If he is still coaching anyone, his methods are bad for horses. If he’s riding, same. He doesn’t have to be an amazing GP winning rider to teach or coach. He’s actively bad at it, riding and coaching.
Posting the same set package of images and (often faulty) drawings (like the vision one) doesn’t help horses. If anything, he’s scared people into not riding, not posting pictures or videos, as they fear they too aren’t perfect.
The convo between he and KK could have been spirited and fun and full of constructive conflict. Now she’s been banned as a spy.
He isn’t encouraging conversation. He actively discourages and avoids it through blocking, turning off comments, bullying and shouting at people.

Wait, WHAT??? Kyra Kyrklund has more dressage knowledge in her pinkie than the majority of people on the internet. I was amazed that she even ventured on that site (same for Catherine Haddad Staller). What an opportunity to learn WASTED by him blocking her.

I think a lot of horse people have exercised that option which is why Paula is probably the only actual trainer on the FB group.
