Count down to BC
I wouldn’t discount either Keen Ice or Frosted in the Classic (although I’d give the edge to Keen Ice) to give AP and Beholder some competition.

Also looking forward to the Juvenile Distaff as well. Some nice fillies this year.
I was a fan of both colts throughout the TC but most recently have thought that TONALIST is the horse to beat.

FROSTED has an interesting tail female pedigree.

After TONALIST won the gold cup handily I thought he was peaking at the right time for the BC. Still do. Steve Haskin wrote this.

BEHOLDER arrives at Keeneland.

http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/95232/beholder-arrives-at-keeneland

Beholder has missed her first day of training, as she’s running a slight fever.
With knowing that she always has problems shipping, why wouldn’t they have shipped her in sooner? Giving her a bit more time to acclimate?
At this point I don’t see her running well, if at all…

I read that. It is a little upsetting, but really too early to tell. It would be such a loss for her to miss the race. It’s still going to be a ridiculously tough one with AP, Tonalist, HC, etc etc in the race, but she has a lot of fight and could put all the boys to shame. Hopefully it’s really nothing.

Beholder’s connections are saying she has not been ruled out yet for the BC.

This BH article states classic field was unexpected.

Anybody attending in person needs to be aware there is a sold out football game with another 50k or so fans as UK hosts neighboring state longtime rival Tennessee. Both wrap late afternoon, early evening and it’s a Sat night Halloween…good luck getting out of there. Even to a hotel.

Hotels were long gone months ago. I have tickets and its going to be such a pain that truthfully I dont want to go. However, this will NEVER happen again at Keeneland so I will go. Welcome to all of those coming to Lexington for the first time!

We found a motel in Winchester. It’s going to be a freaking nightmare, but we’re going anyway.

When is post time? I need to know when I have to ignore the trick or treaters for a few minutes so I can watch the race in peace.

The Luxury Chalets intrigue me. They seem to be glassed in tent like structures. I am having a hard time picturing the setup but it has been quite some time since I’ve been to Keeneland

Here’s a picture of the chalets, and a flyover to show how they are situated at the track

Thanks!

I’m feeling kind of the same way right now!

So envy those of you going. Was seriously considering it this summer, but life happens, so no can do. Love Keeneland.

Will be thinking of those of you who are able to go as I watch from my couch.

Have a blast!

Untapable out of the distaff with a fever. Looks like this girl has had a tough year. Perhaps she was all tapped out last year. Looks like she will have a 5 year old campaign though.

I’m so happy to be going! Hotels were very expensive and booked fast, but I got some friends together and we decided to splurge. It’s going to be a great time! Hope everyone going and watching has a super time!

So many great races this year!
I’m really looking forward to this though honestly, I’m a little conflicted.

Rather afraid to watch the broadcast, perhaps I’ll watch the Classic and catch everything else on replay… I’m a wuss but I really don’t want to risk watching a breakdown.

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen one so maybe luck will hold, but then again it’s been awhile so…

I love watching them run. It really is difficult to decide what to do
(can you say neurotic:o).

Hope all of you that are attending have a great time!

ETA I love the BloodHorse “entries” section. So much info on each horse!

I really hope that we can see Lava Man working at his job, maybe even in the post parade. I think Smoky is going along too.
