Count down to BC

That story on Runhappy and his trainer definitely made me a fan. The video of his groom trying to wake him up was hilarious. I feel the same way when my alarm goes off some mornings.

It was a nice run by Stephanie’s Kitten! My 5yo DD picked her to win because she’s pretty and she likes her name.

We’re both cheering for Runhappy in the 7th!

YAY Runhappy! And he set a track record

What a feel-good story! Runhappy made a lot of people happy today.

RUNHAPPY!!! So fantastic for the horse and his connections! I was crying when he won!

What a cool horse Runhappy is! I screamed halfway down the stretch haha.

Howlin’ Wolf, thank you again for the Keenland link. It’s so much better than NBC.

What a great Breeders Cup so far!

Fair play to Ms Borell. quite a feather in her young cap.

BTW, Run Happy won the BC Sprint Lasix Free, as did the winner of the Turf Sprint, Mongolian Saturday.

Goooooo Tepin!!! So happy to see her win the Mile.

Rooting for Isotherm in the Juvenile.

Tepin was all class!!
Hope Karakontie comes out of the race ok.

I’m glad they’ve switched coverage over to NBC. Hopefully they’ve also gotten rid of the two greasy-looking young presenters. Those two need to go home, wash the grease out of their hair, one of them needs to shave, and then come back, looking more like horse people than MOB hoods. They just don’t fit my image of racing anywhere but maybe Jersey/NYC – not even Belmont.

I hope Cocked and Loaded doesn’t run as backward as his name. Shouldn’t that be Loaded and Cocked?

So, today is the day my computer picks to act up. Just as i start to watch something I am off line. Someone update me. Are all the races except the final one done now? Where do I see TODAYS replays of the races so far? Link from yesterday will not work for me. STUPID computer!!! Thanks for any info.

What is the 14 horse in the Juvenille wearing around its neck? Looks like some really thin breastplate type deal? But looks too loose and thin to do anything?

The Juvenile is about to go to the post, followed by the Turf and then the Classic.

Thankfully Keeneland livestream doesn’t have greasy presenters.

That is a massive appaloosa pony.

It looks like just a grab strap. Several of the entries in this race were wearing them.

It’s a lot more obvious now that I was able to switch over to the tv from live streaming on the laptop. All I could see on that thing was it looked like some sort of white string floating around.

What a nice race! Thankful for watching some good ones today, this year has reminded me just how much I love watching them run. My DD was kind enough to point out after Exaggerator lost that “riding horses isn’t about winning, it’s about having fun.” Yes, I know, thank you small human.

I don’t watch much racing, except on big days like these, but I’ve been looking Forward to it for weeks.* I just got home from working an IHSA show and was able to tune in for the Juvenile, and I wanted to say how impressed I was by Swipe! I didn’t even know the names of the horses who were running, but when they broke and hit the first turn, his gallop caught my eye and I said Wow! I was excited to see him finish a closing second.

  • Funny story. I’ve been having dreams about this race for weeks. The first one was that I missed it, and American Pharoah ran 14th. The second was that Espinoza decided to ride a different horse in the race! Like I said, I don’t really follow racing, which makes these dreams even weirder!

WHOOHOO!! Nyquist!!
