I have not followed the jumping much for a while, changed to dressage, it’s SUPPOSED to be safer! Is this COUPE DE COEUR the same horse that was a 4* eventer several years ago? Just curious, I saw him up close at Rolex in Ky in 05 with Leslie Law and he was beautiful.
that is an interesting question
he is an awesome horse !
I hope someone knows the answer
No they are two different horses. Leslie Law’s Coupe de Coeur was bay/brown, Ludger’s is a grey.
Ok
Thanks
I nearly swooned when this horse entered the arena. As if that weren’t enough, my favorite rider is on him!:eek::eek::D:D:D Most stunning horse I’ve seen in a long time, and definitely the superstar in looks. Marco Kutcher’s horse runs a close second, but Coeur has my heart.
i loved Coup! How graceful he and Ludger were! Those new German jackets go well with the dapple grey!
He was a knock out! I’m working on my photos albums on my facebook…loved him…also adored Okie Dokie.
Yup. He’s a horse and a half!
Maybe a horse and three quarters, even. God, what I wouldn’t give to ride that!
OK 3/4 is the #…
Me too! Tell me that horse didn’t have a career as a dressage horse before it was discovered that he loved to jump!
I’d give a lot for the elevation of those changes in a PSG horse, wouldn’t you?
ROFLMAO!
Love Greys!
Loved Coupe de Coeur too! I have a few good action shots of him here:

Unfortunately my camera is not fast enough I guess because all my shots are a bit out of focus. I’m disappointed because for once I actually got decent action shots! So sorry in advance that they seem out of focus.
Also loved Ludo Philappaerts’ Winningmood. Thought that was a gorgeous grey horse too.
I’ve been a fan of Ludo’s since WC 2000. He rode Darco (the sire of Winningmood, BTW) in the 2007 WC and won the speed round. Hell of a horse, and it seems he’s passing his talent on to his get. Too cool.

I hope that link works…check the photo of Couer…
ESG…totally agree. This time last week, we were leaving the thomas and Mack.
The wind really got my allergies riled up when we got home. How about you?

Actually, he did ride Darco earlier (from 1988-93), but in 2007 he rode Parco, another gorgeous (grey) son of Darco. At least Winningmood’s name doesn’t end with _arco to add to the confusion!!!

What does Coupe de Coure mean? Does anyone know? I love how that sounds when said out loud
I found this on the web…
English Translation:
Loving something impulsively
To buy something just because you love it at first sight
To fall for somebody or something
Nifty
Can anyone find links to pics or more information about Coup?
I was telling my trainer about him and wanted to send him some pics.
I did a google search and didn’t find much, but I’m not the best internet detective.
I wonder if anyone is still reading this thread??
thanks!
