I bought my Craigslist horse just over 4 years ago. Horse was in New Mexico and I was in Virginia. Paid $800 for him, plus $1,000 shipping. Does he have share of flaws? Yup. He’s slightly downhill, long-backed, and he’s too straight behind. BUT, he’s a cute mover and he has a phenomenal temperament and THAT is what matters most to me. Plus, he loves having a job. Jumping is his favorite thing in the world, but he likes dressage, too, and our dressage trainer loves him. I felt, and still do feel, as though I got the bargain of a lifetime.

If there is something that draws you to him, it can’t hurt to go look. And if you have the extra space and money, it certainly couldn’t hurt to give him an upgrade.[/QUOTE]
What a lovely outcome! I guess you’re right. It can’t hurt to go look.
Funny, same here. My trainer convinced me to drive an hour to come look at this horse that looked “gorgeous” in the pictures on the advert on dreamhorse. I got there and wow. Skin and bones. Didn’t even feel comfortable cantering her because she just seemed so tense.
But HAHAHA @ hybrid wolves. Wow. I would have cringed when she said pony jumps the fence to eat DOG FOOD. Hello lady, wake up. Glad you upgraded him in life
