Haha well at least the US has some home, so far NZ is 0 from 3. And the team we put up should have nailed it on paper. Sometimes its just a bad day at the office. I don’t think its any more embarrassing for the US than it is for anyone else
Gin and Juice two stops and now a hold.
Looks like Gin & Juice has had two stops already. Is that correct?
Is there a hold on course?
Yes, I would say disappointing more than embarrassing.
Why the hold?

Ya it’s not like the American’s are the only ones not making it around. New Zealand, Italy, USA and Belgium all aren’t finishing team
ETA And the Swiss team now too

A horse fall reported at fence 30 for Anna Hilton and Matrix W - all riders being held currently.
It isn’t embarrassing at all. Let’s see you do it better, viney. That ground is a mess. The US riders are in good company. Mark Todd, Tim Price, and Ollie Townend DNF either.
I strongly support our riders’ decisions and applaud them for bringing themselves and our horses home safe. Just not our day.
Another run out for Hawley
Not even bad day at the office–more unlucky weather. I think both of those horses might have done well in better conditions. Really unusual conditions for this level of competition.
Hawley having run outs? I mean, really … Isn’t that a horse with a perfect xc record? This is not normal, not what anyone’s selectors planned for.
Apologies if this has already been discussed - I have tried to read through the various threads, but system keeps hanging up.
On the running results site, what does R1, R2 and the flashing yellow horse symbol signify?

What happened with Hawley? She had 3 refusals and kept going to finish the course
R 1 R2= Refusals. Flashing yellow horse? Dunno, but maybe means they are continuing. A red horse has fallen, and a red person standing with no horse is a rider fall…
refusal 1 or 2… hold? just a guess on my part

R1= 1 refusal
R2= 2 refusal
no idea what the yellow horse is
ANNIE CLOVER fell
I did not think Viney was criticizing any rider’s decsion to retired a tired horse and would applaud the decision to retire-- maybe just wonder about the multitude of decisions across the team program that got them to that place?
Has anything bad happened? Is everyone walking away?

Thanks, that is what I thought. I have been away from the eventing world for a very long time, so just wanted to verify.
