crotch seam in jeans!ladies only

For me it’s all about comfort -so it’s breeches, not jeans.

Beacuse of this thread, I purchased two pairs of the Horsewoman’s Spirit Low-Rise Denim Breeches. I LOVE THEM!!! The only issue was that, even though the website does say they are sized large and to order down a size, even then they were still fairly roomy. It worked out because the first pair I got was one size down, and they are roomy enough for this winter when I am wearing something underneath them for more warmth. I then ordered the next smallest size for my second pair, and they are perfect! My only complaint is that the breeches have no pockets, but that’s minor for the benefits. I may never go back to jeans.

AND, they were 50% off!

I had that problem for YEARS. Drove me nuts, and I couldn’t ride in jeans under any circumstances. Didn’t matter where the seam was.

Then I learned that I was riding with my lower back arched (think “hunter rider”) and was sitting on my crotch (not the best position). After I changed my riding position, stopped arching my lower back & tilted my pelvis back a little (think sitting more on back pockets) I noticed the “seam problem” completely went away! Now I can ride in any pair of jeans I want. Makes me feel like an idiot that I spent years in discomfort when I could just change my position a little.

That’s the reason you shouldn’t ride in jeans!

I’ve always wanted a pair, I just don’t spend $50 on a pair of jeans…can’t find em used…

I’m an Equissentials addict. I ride dressage and have had lots of problems over the years with this issue. Here are their options for western/endurance.

I highly recommend their breeches. I quit even trying to find anything else years ago. The deerskin is so soft. It really makes a huge difference.

A lot of this issue is purely anatomical. Some folks have seat bones that hold the more sensitive parts up and away from the saddle. Saddle fit can also make a difference.

These look really expensive but I have to tell you that I have Equissentials that I have had for over 10 years. I have washed them over and over again. You just can’t kill them. When and if you wear out the fabric you can send them back and for a much smaller charge they will sew the old deerskin onto new breeches. You really can’t beat the service and they will do custom breeches for you. Once you get your size they will make them and send in your size forever.

I just bought a pair of the Fuzzy Logic’s. It has been YEARS since I rode in pants specifically designed for riding. What a difference!

I think it depends on yourself. If you have habit for wearing jeans than you can ride without any problems. I like to wear boot cut jeans and when I go for ride I always use boot cut jeans for wear.

I ride in Wrangler Aura jeans because they don’t have the seam. There are a few others out there, but I like the Auras.

Diamond gussset jeans, no seams in the crotch.I know my man loves them.
If you ride gaited there is a lot of back and forth crotch movement you can really hurt yourself with a thick seam , at least use a real sheepskin seat saver but the guessed jeans solves the problem though i no longer like the leg seams . guess i’m getting sensitive.

diamondgusset.com just checked they have them for women to.
