Curb Chain Jangling Needed for Poncho

That is such a wonderful thing to do. Curbs are jingling and jangling for Poncho…Mallory’s life was touched, now he can touch others as well. It means so much to the kids and adults. Plus being only 3 blocks away, that is sooo perfect!!

I have volunteered at Little Bits (if that is where he may go) and the horses get plenty of love, attention and treats. Nice stalls, lots of turnout, and consistent care. A small pony from our barn is there, and is a good fit as she can only walk and trot due to stifle issues. Some of the riders do progress to cantering and a some learn to jump. They have a show in May or June and they are always looking for volunteers to help get horses and riders ready and be backgate people. Your daughter is probably old enough to volunteer (shifts are about 1.5 hrs/week for 10 week sessions) - then she can keep an eye on Poncho and see what a huge difference he makes in these riders’ lives.

Well, where do we stand? Did you have the meeting. . . .

Jangle, Jingle, Jingle, Jangle, Jingle, Jingle

I second the congratulations. How nice to have him in loving new home where he can have a fun, relaxed life.

Good for you.

Thought I would give an update on how he is doing.

He is sound and his new owner is riding him.
She is planning on registering him with the Pinto registry.

Here is a drawing I had done of Poncho for Mallory’s 13th Birthday this year.

More curb chains jangling – hope you can hear them all the way up in Washington!

I am hoping that the therapeutic riding center will love him just as much as you and Mallory do…

I remember in the late 60’s when it was a converted Chicken Coop and Tom Metcalf trained Saddlebreds there right alongside Judy Brawley with her Hunters and was called Green Briar.
Billy and Bobby must have been about ten years old, and Judy was pregnant with Debbie.

Then it was sold to Meg and Stephanie and became a Dressage stable called Inverness.

Although it is completely rebuilt and luxurious it still has the same outline.

Mallory will definately be a volunteer, her friend who lives on the same road does volunteer work there on the weekends.

I am picking, “Emily”, up at 9 AM on Tuesday to take her out to see Poncho.
If she likes him, and she loves the photo book I showed her, then she will take him on trial.

So far you have all helped us so much with your best wishes and jangling.

And don’t forget we are jangling for Buster also.
If Poncho could have had an operation, we may have gone for it.

Oh, this is great news! Poncho has a wonderful retirement home and a yearling has a pasture pal!

Thanks for the update! It’s good to hear that everything worked out.
