I am in love with my filly’s muzzle marking. Just thought it would be fun to see everyone’s foal face markings. Heck show me pictures of your broodie/stallions markings. I just need some extra cute stuff to look at this afternoon.
Alliekat, that is REALLY unusual. It is pefectly round. How cute. I don’t have anything that unusual, but I do have a lot of lovely long, narrow snips on noses. My mare doesn’t even have one, but her two boys have them. I can’t post pics on here.
One of my mare has a black dot on her nose. It really looks like a “grain de beauté” has we say in French.
Here she is:
My 2 year old has what we call a backwards question mark and towards the end of it on one side she has a rectangly thing that is darker than the rest of her coat.
My mare has one of those! Not as well-centered but just as round.
We call it her “easy button”. It gets lots of smooches.
Yeahhhh! You guys are the best. We laughed when my filly was born because our farm name is “Worth A Shot” and we thought her marking looks like a target/bulls-eye.
Dbaygirl if you email your pic to me I am happy to post them for you.
Royal Monaco Her marking reminds me of Marilyn Monroe. Same side and all!!!
Love the pics everyone!!!

How about polka-dots? This is our best producing broodmare, Rox.
And this is her 2010 filly…she tried to get the dots…
Heehee… my 2008 gelding’s snip ends in a little pink lip spot, which you can’t see very much anymore now that he’s older (has no hair on it)… here he is at 8 hours old:

Here’s my funny girl showing off her perfect “lipstick” on her lower lip
We’ve joked in the past that whoever painted my Pablo filly’s stripe on must have been drinking with how it falls off the side.

That’s very cute, Kris! I want to see Spacely’s Pablo when she’s older! Our filly Raspberry Wine recently purchased from Gray Fox Farm has a pretty accurate “seahorse” for a blaze! Just go to www. grayfoxfarms.com, then foals of 2010, then Raspberry Wine. We plan to have fun with that blaze!
Thanks Diane. I saw your girl a few weeks back & she is stunning. That is one I want to see when she grows up! She is a knockout! Here is the link to her page.
Cool markings everyone!
Here’s our most recent colt who came out pretty uniquely:

We named him ‘Brann’ (Norwegian for ‘fire’), because his face marking reminded me of a flame.

I love your filly. She is gorgeous in person.
Here is a colt I bred. His face marking always makes me smile.
This is so much fun!!! It amazes me how different they can all look.
LOL ^^^ Looks like someone accidentally stepped in the paint bucket…
I’ll play. My Redwine filly has a pretty unique blaze. Genevieve joked that she “smeared the paint” when she had to fish around to find the nose and pull it up between her legs during delivery!
