Be careful for what you wish for! I truly thought my daughter would stop riding for good when she went away to college but instead she was president of the equestrian team! She graduated this summer, moved home and pretty much stole my horse. It’s wonderful to see how great they are doing together but every day I feel like there is less chance I am ever getting her back some day.

That is an adorable pony and child. I love seeing a show hunter outside of the ring, going cross country and doing what hunters are supposed to do.
Yes, it truly is a mixed blessing. Several of my riding buddies are lucky enough to have horse crazy kids, but it does mean their own riding is on the back burner while they support the kid’s riding.
