I’m also hearing impaired, and I don’t wear aids outside of work. If you don’t hear all of what is said @IdahoRider , ask them to repeat it or, more importantly, rephrase it. I’ve yet to come across someone who got angry about this. I’ve also told people, “I can tell you’re talking to me but I can’t hear you, hang on a sec,” then turn around or get closer and ask them to repeat it. Trust me, my hearing is not the reason people might think I’m unfriendly
Like where the body is hidden?
(Totally kidding, and yes, better to remain professional and not give too many details if the matter has been resolved.)
So many times we never find out the ending … at least this time we did!
Kind of the opposite of the usual excruciating detail but no ending. This time it’s no details, but we find out how it wrapped up.
The first time I heard the word ignorant it sounded like an insult. I think if you just say someone is ignorant, it sounds like they are ignorant about everything. If you say ignorant about ___, I think it is more neutral. I can think of so many things I was ignorant about when I was younger!
