I do not care what level you are showing at. I have not seen that display on very young riders doing their first dressage test. And the comment about AA riders rethinking their show plans. Ppfft. Please. I seriously doubt that.

Does anyone know this rider? Does she ride all horses in this manner? I have to say something is off about her lack of upper body control that lead me to think she may have been ill or something medically was not right.

I don’t think she is abusing the horse–in fact, I don’t see a ton of contact in her curb rein-the horse is btv to get behind the leg making the trot like a jack hammer and very difficult to sit.

She was eliminated for taking her hand off the rein on Friday, but I’m honestly baffled. In her Thursday free walk, she is moving ALL over the place–why? She fusses and moves and removes her hand from the reins and I’m just trying to figure out what is going on. I’ve never seen a figity rider and perhaps she was having a panic attack?

Has anyone seen her ride another horse? Compete? Do they know her? I don’t like seeing people make assumptions when it might benefit if we just ask someone who may know her or maybe ask her herself.

Coach should not be blamed–this rider may have chosen to compete despite a coach telling her not to.

I am wondering about this to. Seems to me that all might not be right. I also understand that she and her trainer dosen´t feel like making an official statement or something. Maybe they should have?

It is a case of a very tense TB in a dressage test who is behind the leg. Bopping around because they want to explode for a movement or two. It is common in eventing to see that, but some judges feel it is there right to eliminate based on that.

I have never seen an elimination at a USEA or FEI competition for a horse bopping around (because they want to explode) for a movement or two. That would absolutely be an “illegal” elimination (unless there were multiple errors during those “bops” which would mean elimination for errors and not for “bopping”)

It has nothing to do with whether or not Ms. B is a nice person or bad rider (at first I thought she might be a para-equestrian) it’s about being unfair and abusive to her partner.

The reaction to this incident has caused a number of adult amateurs that I know to rethink their show plans for this year… Nobody wants to be the person that this happens to next.

If people are rethinking their show plans because they consider their riding skills comparable to SBs, then that is a GOOD thing!

It sadly happens here often. If you look at OHTA results and see elimination in dressage that is most likely (not always) but most of the time the case.

It IS wrong, I have fought with TDs, GJ, and show organizers over it. I have watched my friends pay $300 to do half a dressage test. Its awful. I have complained to get this stopped but they don’t care.

Like I’ve already mentioned, these are competent, dedicated amateur riders, to whom the well being of their horses is everything. I respect these riders for how hard they work at this sport - and how well they ride! It surprised and saddened me to hear riders of their skill level voice their worries.

If she does own a huge Talent Agency she likely does not give ONE **** what is being said here, and I can only imagine what she is like in person. The entertainment industry is UGLY.

So they think that the ‘outing’ of SB is wrong and she wasn’t abusive?

One person’s “bop” could be another person’s “resistance” for which judges can eliminate if it goes on too long (15 sec?) or if the judge thinks it’s unsafe.

I saw a ride recently where the horse was quite naughty during a ride and the judge said, “if anyone else was riding this horse, I’d ring them out for safety reasons but look at this rider stick!”

You know there are plenty of pictures where my leg is fine if anyone cares to look. The tendency of the internet to jump right to personal attacks without research or context is part of the issue I was pointing out.

and if you look at the horses tab (she still shows up as owner on most of them, even though they havne’t been shown in years) and look at who the riders were, it would appear she has been riding with this trainer for about 8 years now, and has gone through several GP horses.

Makes me wonder, based on the articles about her business, just what she is holding over this trainer’s head to allow this kind of horrible riding.
