Lol now you made me go look and see if I want to buy some  Looking at Romfh’s website, it says that the Isabella is the same cut as the Champion - but in the material of the Sarafina. Description in link below. I’ve never tried the Isabella so just wanted to share that for anyone who likes the Champion! (available in both suede full seat and silicone)

I noticed that too… but, it seems at Dover/smartpak/riding warehouse, the champions have patches, while the isabella have silicone instead of patches. Riding Warehouse has the white with grey fullseat, but I wasn’t interested in white. The sarafina seem to have patches, though. But, not described as the same fit as the champions.

Thanks to this thread, just purchased a pair of Romfh Champions in navy. Wonderful fit!!! Thanks to OP for starting thread!

I just got two pairs of the FITs Finleys and love them. Super flattering but also functional and most importantly comfortable! High enough waist for me and the material is the best I think of all the FITs. You can snag 10% off if you use coupon code LizAustin10 for any items on their website! Some super deals on sun shirts right now. I have had some of mine for five plus years and you can get some of them for under $50 right now with coupon code! Good luck!

Wanted to add my 2 cents on the Romhf Champion vs Isabella fit -

I bought a pair of the Champions last year, really liked the fit, but wanted them in black (which were not available at thr time), so I bought a pair of the Isabellas about a month later (both sized 32R with the suede seat).

I find that the Isabellas fit very similarly, but have a slightly lower rise (~1/2 inch lower). It seems small difference, but does impact the fit/feel, particularly on the ground. Personally, I prefer the fit of the Champions, and probably won’t buy another pair of the Isabellas.

TLDR: the Champions and Isabellas fit similarly through the leg and hips, but the Isabellas have a slightly lower rise.

You are very welcome. And actually, after revisiting the Hadleys, they fit well, too. No need to wear a belt when riding. They have 1% more of elastic material in the fabric so they are more stretchy also.

Update 3: Revisited the Hadleys, which fit well also. Did a few rides in them. Did not need a belt. Did not feel they were moving. Did not even know they were there. The Hadleys are 8% stretch vs the 7% stretch material in the Romfh Champions, which apprently makes a big difference. The cut is very similar, with the Romfh being a bit higher in the waist in the back, which overall makes the Romfh the best for me. The Hadleys do have back pockets, though, which is a major win, and with zippers too. I am happy with both.

I still do like the Horze Danielas. They have an extra amount of space in the tush. With my build, not visible when standing, but definitely beneficial when leaning forward to jump/squat. You can literally feel the pants shifting to allow for movement. Other blogs/reviews from those with perhaps less of a behind have complained about a pocket in the middle of the butt that looks odd.

I recently bought a pair of Tredstep Solo breeches and Tredstep Volte breeches. The Solo breeches rise up in the back which is good coverage and prevents waist gap for the most part. However, both pairs, especially the Volte look ridiculous when I’m riding as the higher rise just eats my torso. If the rise is above my belly button, it’s literally just boobs and then belt/waist band. I fear that the Romfh Champions will be the same.

I do not like breeches with back pockets, so they’d really have to fit amazingly in order for me to buy a pair with pockets.

I did recently get a pair of Sarafina’s for a good price. Not sure how they’ll fit, but worth a shot for the price.

I still like my Pikeur Lugana’s for a breech that I don’t need a belt with, even though they sit a bit high. The Lucinda’s are a good “with belt” breech. The synthetic seat in the Horze Grand Prix is still holding up and the fabric really repels dirt well.

I also tried a pair of riding sport by dover essential fullseats. They fit very well and were very comfortable. But they have a giant four way seam right in an unfortunate location that makes these unbearable. I hope dover will take these back because they hurt.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Horze Grand Prix. I just rode in mine today and they work really well. Another one on the list that worked. Thanks to this thread I have a new wardrobe of breeches lol.

UPDATE 4:
Horze Grand Prix are great, too. Very nice fabric, and the silicone is quite nice. Does not stick to the saddle and moves with you. A bit more low rise than the rest of the breeches on this list, but did not bother me as it is curvy enough to not need a belt. No back pockets, but the front one fits a phone fine. They are longer than the rest of the other breeches, which made me almost return them. But, after boots are zipped up the extra length has no ill effect as the fabric does compress well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Thanks to this thread I have a brand new wardrobe of breeches that fit well without needing a belt. And I was able to find all of these online without having to try on 50+ styles. Now to test longevity.

Added a list of breeches that worked, not tried, and did not work to OP.

For what it is worth, the Romfh Champions are much higher waisted than the Horze Grand Prix. About a full inch or more. So if the Horze are about right, your suspicions will likely be confirmed.

Also, @SLStar mentioned up there that the Isabellas have a similar fit but are lower rise, so probably better for you.

Thank you!!!

I just purchased from this site https://www.stickyseat.com/ I really like them. The pictures on the site are terrible. The breeches that I received are much nicer than they looked on the site.
