I looked but didn’t see one; my apologies if this is a duplicate. I know we used to do these all the time. So in that spirit…
I swear that the two weeks between breeding and that first ultrasound are the longest two weeks of my life. Well, it’s a toss up between then and the last two weeks before foaling, I guess. My new broodmare is tentatively scheduled to be checked on Friday. I’m itching for the news for lots of reasons this time around. One is that I want to get the mare safely settled in foal so I can get her shipped from AZ to TN before the weather gets unbearably hot. Another is that this foal will be a full sibling to my little palomino Sydney (photo attached), who is shaping up to be the best-minded young horse I’ve ever ridden.
Anyone else waiting as anxiously as I am? Or already have mares confirmed in foal this spring?
