I would like nothing more than for all of Jill Burnell’s horses to have a new home. I would love to be able to tout Redwine’s praises from the roof tops because I really do love my filly. But there are so many concrete, black and white things to focus on like unpaid bills, judgments, bounced checks, unfulfilled contracts etc that adding the gray areas of horse care to the mix is not only overkill but also takes away from the real message.

I definitely hear what Laurie is saying. If Jill’s lab & farm were pristine and the horses in optimal condition; her business practices are still horrible.
However, I do think that the pictures of “reality” compared to her website clearly show misrepresentation. And, the conditon of the horses and the way they are kept is relevant to anyone considering sending a mare her way or anyone considering buying a foal from her – just as the “lab” conditions are relevant to anyone considering buying semen. Different aspects of the mess that is Jill Burnell / Gray Fox Farm are going to resonate more with different people – and for some people the condition / care of the horses is a bigger concern than the financial stuff. INHO, any and all legitimate concerns / issues that are shared and result in more people reading this thread and spreading the word of warning about this mess; the better.
Now, I need to go read about IR and have a serious talk w/ my fat, out of work gelding :0

The condition of the stallions is part of the entire story…another red flag, another symptom of the trouble behind closed doors. These stallions are her livelihood. They are “the franchise” - the star players - of Gray Fox Farms.
Talking about them in no way diminishes the unpaid bills, judgments, money and horses lost, that her clients have experienced. Those issues are not forgotten, and certainly remain important.
I think talking about the stallions condition keeps this post alive. We have exhausted the old stuff unless there is new information out there.
Has there been any update from equinedriver? I’ve been following this thread and not seen one lately (but could have missed it).
Um…
Has anyone heard for this equinedriver person who was organizing information from people who had had issues with JB & GFF. It seems like there is no feed back from her.
I recently saw a couple of mares for sale, one in foal to Aloha and the other to Redwine. I asked if she had breeding certs and she said paperwork was in order. Really a concern after reading this thread …

We must have seen the same ad! TB mares? I liked what I saw and then wondered if you could even get the babies papered.
Horsepoor, I was just bumping it back to the top.

Aren’t those Rapazzini’s mares ? The person who Jill attempted/stole the yearling from?
Aghh these are the days of our lives.
Jessica Kinne has two mares for sale that are in foal to Redwine and Aloha. No idea who if anybody she is on COTH. The mares are lovely and she tagged Jill in the FB posts.

She’s here. http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=369683
It also appears Jill bought (stole?) a colt by Romantic Star from them last year.
Recon on SL’s site. http://www.stonelilyfarm.net/2011foals.html
Roswell on JB’s. http://www.grayfoxfarms.com/roswell.htm
I would urge Stone Lily to make sure to check that she is listed as the breeder with USEF (if he has a number) as we all know how JB likes to take credit for other people’s work.
As far as I know, the mares that I have for sale have nothing to do with this topic. I tagged Jill simply because I could not tag the stallion’s pages. I am not Rapazzini and no horses have been stolen from me.
StoneLily is not me, Rapazzini just FYI. However, i do love StoneLily’s horses/foal and she is wonderful to work with! My TB mare who is the mother of the filly jill stole last year is pregnant this year, but not to any of Jill’s studs…she was bred to Baron Von Gogh and is due May 1. Luckily, Edgar is amazing and i don’t for see and registration issues in my/ my mares future! Thanks.
Why would you ever want to tag Jill? That’s not a good marketing tool…a lot of ‘guilt by association’

StoneLily is anything but guilty. She is the most honest horse woman i’ve ever worked with. I could not be happier from our previous business transaction together
Like it or not, foals have to get sold and unfortunately negative attention is better then no attention at all…thus by tagging Jill Burnell I’m assuming she thought that people would see the posts and thus may express interest in the foals ??? Its a hard situation all around. There is no manual on how to act or represent horses for sale when the stud owner went looney.
Hopefully StoneLily will get some interest via her photos and one or more foals/mares will be sold to wonderful show homes. SL is nothing but wonderful to work with and i can’t express that point enough. No guilt by association on SL end, i can promise you that!

Last ED post on COTH was Sept 6th. Hope all is well.
I second this. Hope to get an update from ED.
