Doing business with JILL BURNELL? BEWARE.

Excuses, excuses. In classic Jill fashion, the “vet visit” was just around the corner. Sure.

I would suspect that Ms. Weems is being paid with a horse or two.

wonder when the MHS press release is… waiting…

what vet would come anyway, most of them refuse to set a foot on her farm due to unpaid bills… but did you expect her to go down with a whimper?

or the lawyer being a “groom” expect a mare/foal in payment?

Interesting i just looked too… Same law school my brother is going too, its an okay school… no offense to my brother. My Dad has never heard of her, and he has been a lawyer for over 37 years in Nor Cal. And I have heard of the eventer rider she groomed for. I dunno if he is any good.

How long will this attorney, Ms. Weems, stay on the case? Doesn’t Jill have a history of stiffing her lawyers?
this attorney has been known to take horseflesh in lieu of fees.

my thought too. And a “good” way to have her name out there… For good or for bad… it can really backfire on her.

I did immediately after reading it, so did FI, and I saw you, too. I suspect everyone will…but it still reeks of typical JB BS that the bleeding hearts will believe. If she gets those horses back I will lose all hope for the most innocent in our judicial/protective system.

She used to work for David Adamo - they are in fact friends, and David rides her horses.

There is a looong history here folks…

also, Weems has close connections with law enforcement… so this will get veeery interesting…

A good place to look for missing horses/newly purchased horses to hide them. I guess another one of the minions!!

I just do not know how a horse person, would be willing defend JB’s actions and try to keep horses in her possession. Just WOW. Some people will do anything for $$ (or a nice horse).

Done. And its not too hard for a stallion to “jump out” when he’s being kept in with a single strand of hot tape, which is how I have been told they are currently contained. So the injury to RS is just plain negligence on her part ALL THE WAY AROUND.

I found she does Antitrust Law, Domestic law… not sure if that covers equine law and this type of case. California is pretty liberal still but I know they don’t take this type of stuff… esp in Marin, they are pet friendly!

And the fight begins…

I think anyone with this bad of a reputation who has avoided any serious consequences for this long will be very very hard to bring down. Sounds to me like she is a master of evasion and she probably knows the ins and outs of the legal system better than a lawyer.

Me? I can’t even negotiate my way LEGALLY out of a traffic ticket. It boggles my mind that she has been aboe to get away with all of this for so long. :frowning:

How in the heck can she afford an attorney??? I agree that some of the details in the report are…strange??
my family can’t either!! I’ve been following this thread all along and many many many pages ago I could do nothing but shake my head and wonder “how the HECK” does she get away with all of this!! it’s absolutely incredible!

my gut instinct tho, is telling me that the Karma bus is gassing up!!

Weems represented another accused horse abuser late last year http://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/20121210/ARTICLES/121219953

Fortunately…or unfortunately (however you want to look at it ;)), everybody has a right to an attorney and a right to defend themselves.

Makes you wonder what her horsemanship skills are? I guess she does not see anything wrong with the conditions at JB? scary for her own hoI rses too. oh geez… I truly hope Karma works in the horses’s favour…

Shared on my FB page too!

Like Daventry says - everyone has a right to an Attorney… i just think that if folks are involved they honestly need to lawyer up asap and find someone who is tough because this will get very very ugly…

Really??? why request them back if she said the stallion owners were there. Let the stallion owners request them back
