Doing business with JILL BURNELL? BEWARE.
Sad. This is obviously someone who has a severe mental illness. Even sadder to see family destroy her as thoroughly as they can when what this woman needs is help. Hope this serves as a wakeup call and she receives the therapy she needs and her animals find a safe place to fall.

I don’t think publicly destroying someone this mentally ill is the right thing to do. This type of behavior is beyond laziness, or selfishness which are regular character flaws. This woman is truly mentally ill.

I truly hope she gets help before any more animals have to suffer, and that the fangs are retracted here and the witch hunt called off. Where is everyone’s human compassion? How can you not feel compassion and sadness for this truly sick woman?
The SIL was trying to warn people who truly care about their horses and might be presently doing business with her or considering doing business with her in the future. If she had my mother living in those conditions I would be doing much worse. I think she needs to be criminally charged.

There is a much larger issue than the horses here…and i’m sorry for you if you can’t see that.

Because she has lied, cheated, and stolen from many people, and continues to do so? How else do you suggest getting the word out?

I’m sure if she were to take responsibility for her actions, STOP BREEDING, and pay her bills, as part of some sort of treatment, many here would chill out and be happy that it’s finally over.

If I was an axe murderer, then everyone would be justified in slinging mud at me. But when I’ve got a few close friends who have been personally wronged by Jill Burnell and have heard it directly from the horses mouth, so to speak, the proof is in the pudding unfortunately :frowning: And then there are the COUNTLESS people who have emailed or PM’d me to tell me their “Jill horror story”.

I will agree, and have on other threads though that, despite what a few are saying, Redwine is a lovely stallion, his foals are lovely, and thank God, the horses seem to be the one thing that Jill had done right by and kept them in decent shape (yeah they are in a dry lot and some of them might not have shelters, etc., but they’ve always looked in decent weight and looked after). I suspect though that enough people have been burned that they are just hurt and lashing back. Can’t really blame them. This is an expensive sport! Unfortunately, the whole Gray Fox Farm seems to be an itricate house of cards and I don’t think it will be long before the horses are suffering. :(
and if I was Eaglewhatever and she posted my name next to it fine, but I’m not,so to modify the question then if you were NOT an axe murderer and someone posted that next to your name wouldnt you have a problem with that?

So your answer is to sweep the fraud she’s committing with horses under the rug while someone tries to convince her to “get help”? And continue to let bunches of unsuspecting people get taken in and cheated out of hard earned money in the mean time?

i can see you have no understanding of mental illness, which is not your fault. This is beyond her being a liar and a cheat…have you ever met a schizophrenic before? Would you feel the same if they told you they were from mars? Would you not forgive them until they admitted they were lying to you? Although her mental illness is a different type, it isn’t any less debilitating or real.

Making a mentally ill person hate themselves more than i’m sure they already do by degrading and destroying them makes you no better than the monster she has been portrayed to be (and undoubtedly is).

well considering all that I did was attempt to guess at the identity of eagle and you came forward to clear it up so everyone can read it…what is the problem?? Sorry your info was publicly on GFF’s fbook page. Not my fault.

Chill out…

p.s. I never called anyone and “axe murderer”

i think it is good that people are aware. There is a difference between being made aware, and a full on man hunt. I think a healthier way to spend your evening would be to do something positive that makes you feel happy rather than tearing down a pathetic soul.

Well again Jetsetter if you post “axe murderer” next to someone’s name and it is not them you have implanted that in someone’s head. A sarcastic get over it and emoticons is not sufficient. A removal of the post is more appropriate. My name being on the page is not the problem. Your post is.

Too funny and too sad…not even a fighting chance comparing the jump ability of Apiro to Red Wine…for god’s sake…even if you never watched in person either stallion, the bloodlines?

Where is the husband in all of this insanity?

I know nothing of Redwine or Jill Burnell. But I sure do like Apiro…what’s not to like?!
I just hate it when one SO puts down another SO’s stallion. Not cool.

Actually, I work in a hospital with a psychiatric unit and yes, I have met plenty of people with mental illnesses, including schizophrenia.

I am far from any kind of expert on mental illness, but I certainly agree with you that she needs help of some sort. Whether she has an actual mental illness is for professionals to decide, not a bunch of internet posters. Even if she does, it’s very, very hard to get help for an adult that won’t accept it. I don’t envy her brother and SIL for the position they’re in. Thank god they got her parents out of there.

As someone pointed out earlier, she has to know that what she’s doing is wrong, as her website and FB pages present a far different picture (literally) than reality.

Go to google maps, and search her address: 324 Hannan Ranch Lane, Petaluma, CA. Map view shows the perimeter. Satellite view shows the layout, barns/roofs?, and you can even see the mares and foals in the paddocks.

You know, she has almost 3500 friends supporting her on facebook. If your name is on that list, and you don’t support her, you may want to re-think what you are really “saying”.

get a life
I am curious how when you look at all the pictures on her website, the babies are running through fields of tall grass, yet it doesn’t seem that she has any of those. Where are those fields?
The next door neighbor’s pasture. She’s got a gate that they lead them thru and stand them up on the side that’s green and lush looking.

Definitely doesn’t look like the farm that I imagined Redwine living at…crazy!

Well goodnight all, wish I could say it’s been fun. Stating facts in a case where others are enraged is obviously not for the faint hearted. I’m really sorry the main issues have become lost in the mud.

I do have hope though because some of you have been very kind in your PM’s. And have taken my posts for what they were.

Good night and good luck

THIS. I have a mother in law who is a hoarder and has boarder line personality disorder. One can not force treatment on the mentally ill. And the nature of the illness means the sufferer is often resistant to treatment. Its a really heart breaking situation for many families.

but unlike suffering from a physical illness mental illness often has many victims, the ill and the victims of the ill. Jill has many victims.

we had to stop enabling my m-i-l, take away any dependants (children / pets) and let her find her own rock bottom (much like an addict). Then she finally accepted help (not that its a cure all).

This behavior should not be enabled, and she should not be allowed to create more victims.
