I have a legit question regarding the horses being moved to another farm with grass. Does anyone else have the same concerns?
Horses never having access to grass, and then being moved to a field/fields with grass…with no barn, sounds like a recipe for grass founder unless many muzzles are used in the beginning of the transition.

I think if you did an abrupt transition, that could be a problem…when I’ve brought my OTTBs home from the track, I started out with short hand grazing and gradually increasing it to full turnout. I see your point though, because would that have been done in this case?
This late in the season, it’s likely that the grass is all dead and dry, which would minimize the risk, at least. I think it’s unlikely that the horses moved into a lush, green, growing field.
Small to no issue in this case. Norcal at this time is going through it’s “Mediterranean seasons” ie a rainless summer, and most of the grass is yellow and dead. The OP provided a link to the future 35 acre property and it does not appear to be irrigated.

Havent a clue whats going on with grass on the West Coast…just thought about it when looking at my fields this morning, we’ve had some rain so fields are now lush and green once more (yay).
Good to know that things are drying up in CA, can’t imagine slowly introducing grass to 30 head with no barn.

It seems like I really have you in a quandry, eh 2bayboys? Since this is a public forum, and you don’t have the monopoly on the site, I’m free to post my opinion as well. If you go back to the beginning of this post, I posted the photos after the SIL stated the animals were abused. Then after the “shock and awe” died down, it was stated that the horses looked fine. Maybe from the photos I posted? If so, then I feel like I did something in regards to the truth not spread conjecture.
Funny, I never supplied any information on myself until I was accused of being Jill, her husband, yada yada so I posted my phone number, big deal. Then some Rona Barrett decides it’s important to be Dick Tracy and post my info based on looking up my profile and cross referencing it with my facebook. Daventry obviously looked at my facebook as she questioned me on specific photos. Now someone has gone so far as to check the FAA to see who I am! Really?

I emailed the link to this thread to the State Veterinarian of California. I implored her to look into this situation with respect to the fact that one stallion is EVA positive and the conditions in the “lab” are horrendous. For those of you who have business issues with GFF - I would encourage you to do the same and also speak to your Veterinarians to see if they will also ask for an inquiry as this does involve EVA.
I would also ask that the tennis match of words please STOP. Take if off line so legitimate information can be shared about this problem.

People can sue anyone for any reason so the above is untrue. Whether those people win their lawsuit for the above is obviously a different story as is whether or not the plaintiff gets arrested for outstanding warrants when she walks into the courthouse.
Again, I don’t understand why you all keep engaging eagle. Just ignore him, as he has absolutely nothing useful or relevant to add to th discussion at this point. He’s just poking you all with sticks and getting a reaction. Ignore him, shut him out, don’t quote him, don’t engage, and I guarantee he will go away. It really doesn’t matter who he is or what his motivation is at this point.
I also hope that the thread can stay focused as well. The offshoots have been mildly amusing, but it does make it onerous for anyone new to the topic to wade through. And I do think it is important that a lot of the info get out and not be lost in the giggles and sniping.

Edgar, why wasn’t the bad check turned over to the District Attorney in her county? They tend to pursue those things pretty aggressively and I believe in California, with their three strikes law, it can be counted against her criminally, as well, no?
