OOOOOOOOOO! Marlene Sinclair?

YES!

And the Chestnut horse???

Answer to the Md. barn question that stumped poor Kennett Square:

JABOLIN FARM (JA)ck Stedding, (BO)bbie Stedding, (LIN)da Andrisani

Looks Like C W Post or North Shore.

Let us NOT forget that damn whip we had to carry, as I only had ONE sewn in bridle, a pelham. Added to the two reins and that snakey thing that wanted to come uncoiled about halfway thorugh tha course!

was Mia Tanya Stula, who also had an awesome small palomino pony at the time named Farnley Marengo. After her, Even Gamble went to that little girl in Maryland who rode with the Solters whose sister rode the large pony Smart Cookie.

I know TF foundered (Kevin’s “know-it-all” attitude taking over), I know that he was third in the President’s Cup with KM, but I didn’t know that he rode in the '84 trials. Why was he at Nimrod? I thought he was at Kevin’s after he foundered.

Boy, was I pissed when I heard about the foundering. Kevin and I had some MAJOR fights re: feeding the horses IN MY CARE at Sandron. When he bought TF, who had horrible feet and was very hard to shoe and keep sound, he immediately wanted to make changes. I think Joe talked him out of it, but when he took the horse home, there wasn’t anything we could do about it…

Laurie

Not as quick on the jumper trivia, but Calypso would be one maybe?

Freakie was five when he won the Presidents Cup. I won over $300 in the groom’s pool. What a night that was!
Calypso was under 7 when he won his first I think.

Yellow…

Flying John was a fat bay one, right? Do I remember Robert riding him?

Ain’t this fun?

…when you’re this old it takes awhile to think up a comeback and try not to lose the thought while you type.

[hear sardonic laughter in background]

Right on all scores, showjump - I was thinking of Bucky and even forgot about Kenny showing him too.

it was RJ.

She’s got the rest covered!

Laurie

A better Leslie Burr trivia question-
In the 70’s, Leslie had the best green horse at Washington three years in a row. The odd thing was, all three were grey quarter horses. Can anyone name them all? Any of them? Yellowdog, you can play, but no cheating!

One that comes to mind immediately is The Dubliner. I"m sure I can think of more if I think about it.

J. Hulick won on Tiny’s Thought? It was a chestnut with a white blaze. Does Simoneta Bulgarelli (sp) fit in this equation? Breeding: haven’t got a clue.

Well it was the Horner sisters for sure. Can’t remember who the mom was or the ponies at this moment… way too early for me. I’m just up getting the cold medicine! Was the horse Eversham? Ponies…hmmmm Polaris Starship and Polaris Smarty?

quote:
Sundancer - can’t find the question, but “who was Gene Estep?” may be the answer…

I don’t know about Sundancer, but Gene Estep is the answer to at least one OTHER question on this thread.

I was going to say rider/Katie, owner/Harry Gill.

Silver Exchange- 2nd rider- Joan S?

Not to bring a bad subject up, but here’s one which is relative to the above. What trainer was set down for “medicating” what jr. hunter in 1978?

Still trying to remember Laurie…Rain Forest and BC?

I think most people can name the Riders, but who can name the Horses?

Hint - I CAN’T!

Oh, oh I know, (says wty jumping up & down). Eggy Mills showed him and retired him at Devon. Having been lucky enough to watch, and drool over him. Hmmm, Beverly Steinman owned him. Okay thats it. Brain drain…
