What was (jr hunter champ) Watership Down’s barn name?
What was George Weber’s? (Emmet may not play)
and be sure to take that laptop so you don’t lose your cruise placement!
See you on Feb. 20th! Be ready for some serious reunioning on the 23rd!

Brilyn, Special Envoy was definitely chestnut.
You’re confusing him with another of Katie’s jumpers from the same timeframe who WAS gray.
Can anyone name this horse?
THAT explains it
The Buschs’ got Stocking from Dave Kelly as a three year old and showed him in the first years that very year. He was such a nice horse.

Driftwood/Gail Hulick?
Ch.???/Cindy Wiener? Moon Comet?
Shorty…you must know the answer to this one.
Was Sir the same horse that Liz Blatz had in the early 80’s and showed in the A/O’s?
You got all those pony prefixes AND more… I just have to go back and check my question.
Hmm, don’t remember which three I was looking for - but you definitely got them!
Where were they from?
The Artesian had so many riders it’s impossible to know where to begin.
I think Bronze Image was Laura Swenson’s jumper. Chestnut with a white blaze?
interest will wane, temporarily, when there are horse shows going on (Emmet, KLG for example, are too busy to be on the 'net right now). I still want to keep it going; if we need to start a new “part II” because of the size, so be it, but it is pretty cool to see 83 pages of our trivia.
Maybe we can have a “Double Jeopardy Photos” thread for guess who’s and “can you believe I looked like that?” for Alex!
What happened to Alex’s post that I am responding too???

John Barleycorn was it?

Gnarly, how did you know John Barleycorn? I took care of him a lot when Phil Ake showed him in the workings. He was a real gentleman of a horse.
But I’ll take a stab at it.
Conrad: someone in Texas. Orley?
Terry: Jack Trainor?
Joe: Mrs. Dillon
Debbie: Chuck Graham?
Missy: " "?
GHM: Otto Heukeroth?
Sloopy: Bernie?
Wendy Hendrix: Melvin can’t remember last name
Shorty, do tell the real answers.
BTW, second rider on Quiet Flight?
wtywmn4, you are so right. That pony could jump the moon. And Syndy just clung to him like a little monkey.
The one thing you couldn’t do with Squeaky was take him out on the trails. He would go just so far, then decide it was time to go back. If his rider didn’t agree, he’d put his head down, tuck it way back between his front legs and kick up his hind feet. Syndy was a good rider, but she got catapulted every time.

Wasn’t the chestnut that Rodney rode called Quiet Flight?

Yes.
Will not divulge until Alex waves white flag.
The corgi was probably Timmy’s, his name is on the tip of my tongue, I was just talking about him recently and knew his name, now I don’t! If it is the same dog, he was killed when Timmy’s camper was wrecked on the way to Fla. The dog survived the wreck, then ran into the highway and was killed by an oncoming car.
The grey horse must be Holy Smoke, although I’m not sure he on the scene yet when these pictures were taken. I can’t remember the name of the first junior that had him, she lived in the city and also owned Henry the Hawk, one of my all time favorites I took care of for the Mckinnneys. Kara Lauinger bought him from that family. I can picture her face and her name is ALMOST coming to me… This will make me crazy when i find out, it’s so close to me!
Note To WYCDog…
Your trip to LYPHARD CAY might be impossible!
The island is not spelled LYPHARD ( which was a pun, referring to the race horse Lyphard - not the island).
Anyway, however it is spelled he a good time !
I have the cutest pic of Soupy and Dudley nose to nose with their grooms “waiting” on the ramp at Washington. Too bad I can’t post it, or probably even find it!
Those days seem so long gone, especially now.
By the way, for all you former caretakers…Sally Ike brought saddle blankets to the Gold Cup for all to wear. I can hardly describe how it felt to put one of those on again.
End of alphabet- Ward???
