How are these YellowDog?

Raymond Burr

He ran Fairfield since 1945

Riot Free, was normally piloted by RJ. However, due to circumstances beyond RJ’s control, one year at indoors Riot had another jock. Who was it?

Laurie

Cold Climate would be the other one that Jack Payne rode for Mrs. Dean Rucker.

Do I win the cruise yet?

Phew. You guys have great memories.

How about what horse won the first Olympic TRIAL for the 1984 games?

Rider was an amateur jumper exhibitor.

A horse at Fairfield was on the truck traveling home when the junior rider was called back at the Medal finals. She had been mistakenly left off the first two standbys. The very efficient barn manager(joke, who could that have been?)had the horse down the road.
What junior rider went off course when riding back on top at the Medal finals? Middle to late eighties.

quote:
Ainsley Vince rode Northern Magic at the finals.

Another source just said it was Lindsay Phibbs. Yikes. We have 3 names now!

I think it was the North Shore Shore Horse Show. They had GREAT exhibitors parties.

Sorry MHM, yes it is Don Stewart. I was alluding to the fact couldn’t think of the other horse. That this one was stuck in my head…

What were the top three breeder’s of ponies (prefix names) in the 50-60’s?

Speaking of Hilltop Stables, I remember showing there on one of the aforementioned ponies - even went with the breeder…

Marley was the one I was thinking of- 5-6 times with the chestnut in the smalls, at least 1-2 times in the larges. I believe she was about 10 years old the first time!

The horse was bay, luckily, or it never would have worked. The worst part to me (and now the funniest), was KK’s play-by-play of my progress. That was extremely embarrassing!!!

I also have a story of poultice and a model, but I’ve blocked it out- it’s too painful! Then there’s another story about poultice at the World Cup, but that one’s even more painful!

I am proud to say that I am a “Kim’s Song Retirement Party” survivor, and I DID make it to work the next morning! One of my proudest accomplishments!

Kim’s Song was on the best drugs at the party!

Does anyone remember what year it was? And the show it took place during, and the hotel the party was at?

Laurie

Who is Margie?
the short one

(keep guessing)

I guess to earn the prefix WC you must have gotten the pond scum off?

BTW…which horse lunged backwards into the pond at some show in Canada (can’t remember the name of it) and emerged with algae draped over it’s ears and the bitting rig and who was the lunger?

Maggie had a horse, Stranded in Iowa, but that may not have been her best one. The other person is Cathy Chase and Dr. Fuji. Ahe married Alex Gross and lives in Denver. Strangely enough, they have a family summer home on a beautiful lake in NW Iowa (do you believe it!) just around the corner from MY famlies summer home. Small world

were great she also had another yella horse a mare for triple points what is the mares name?

Emmett, wasn’t Touch the Sun Michelle McEvoy’s jumper?

Would your real name be CS??? That is who had Count Tuscan when I rode at Nimrod in the '70’s. She bought him from (Arrrgggghhh – senior moment here – ) the girl whose father is big into playing polo and owning steeplechase horses…

I do remember CT’s big hind ankle – never know what that was from. What a nice guy he was.

Nope, not CS; and owner I think you’re thinking of was Ashley Lickle.

That was my other choice… Abdullah…
