Jimmy Kohn?
Not a clue, Alex. I only go as far back as Jeannie Watt riding for JP. Speaking of JP, what grey jumper got it’s start in Gordonsville, and travelled around Virginia, ending up at the LA Games as the “reserve” horse? For a seat with the captain-what local eatery did Jack frequent for at least two meals a day?
Fourteen year old…guessing here-Liza Towell? (That far enough to the other end of the alphabet?)
YD…the flax is packed! And none too soon. It’s raining ice water. Guess we’re gonna have to use Seven Oaks indoor next week.
they are not the ones I was thinking of. You have to think back to my “era;” I believe Buddy was riding Bean Bag at the time, and Special Envoy wasn’t on the scene yet.
I was thinking of Pantheon and Jethro! My next clue was going to be that their names were complete opposites in type, one classic and one “hillbilly!”
OK, next question: who won the first American Jumping Derby in 1976? Horse and rider.

Off to the coffee pot!!!
Lauriep: I forgot PTM was one of your kids!
<<McL the human was born October 17th. What year?>>

That would be Abby !!!
Well… I was referring to AHRC on Syosset. I won’t ever forget the year that a lot of the tents blew down… that was scary!
If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand…
Gah. Editing issues! Why can’t I delete my double post?!

What was the name of the big chestnut horse Neil rode in the equitations?

Name the following -
Oldest Steward. Alex Forman?
Oldest Water Jump Judge. Adolph, of course
Oldest Horse Show Manager (Emeritus) Honey Cravin
Oldest U. S. Horse to win a Major GranPrix. For the Moment
Oldest U.S. Rider to win a GranPrix. Harry DeLayer
Don’t bother Guessing Who
Alex requested a picture of the “other” sister.
(What was I thinking, except - I am sure my eyes are closed, it is the only jump I couldn’t knock down, and you couldn’t pay me enough to do this now!)
Anyway - it is from 1979 or 1980.
Where was it taken?
Who has won the most World Championships? (Actually, it is a tie, but only one did it with the same horse). This is World Championships.
As long as we are on it, what Team has won the most World Championships?
Vicki Hanson?
My computer has been down, so please excuse me if this has already been posted.
Your photograph is from North Shore Horse Show. The ringside fence gives it away plus the swimming clue. I think in '69 The North Shore Horse Show was the only horse show held at the showgrounds.
Just a guess, but would that be Jessica Tuchman’s Dawn Treader. I think we must have been stable mates, but I was the kid from the wrong side of the tracks.
nope, he was fifteen. At the time, he was the second youngest to win both, after GM who was 14.
Anyone know the horses? And the answer to Pam’s question as to location of Maclay?
Laurie
Eve is in Brookville now? I thought she moved. Have not seen her in years. We used to take lessons together as Jrs. with Harry!
By the way- I am loving this thread. Been lurking here since it started. For cryin’ out loud I cann’t even remember what I had for breakfast non the less this trivia. Thanks for reminding me of ‘back in the day’ as my son would say!
Threepio - D.D. (Alexander) Matz, I believe.
That brown speed horse? Caroline Clark’s The Roofer? Do you remember the spoon bit?
Grey jr. hunter shown in the 60’s by Matt Collins.
We’re just sending a set over to our neighbor’s indoor! No outdoor riding here, either. Icy. Leaving for WEF on Sat. See you there?
