Patty your too funny!
Even I knew that was Calypso, however knowing the groom is a tad before my time.
I may not always win, but I will always try to win.

Joe Fargis?
Yes MAD, that was one of Escadrilles babies. Escadrilles nickname was also Annie.

Nope. Leslie B-L-H and Bruce Burr are related only in their love of horses. Other guessers move to the Lido Deck.
Abby <soon to be college grad> arrives here at 2pm!
I remember that year the tents blew down. I was back working for Fairfield and I was driving in with Cheryl Davis when we saw the tents blowing away.
I don’t remember Dana having a dog and Bruce’s dog was Sam.

He did ride Cameo in the Fianls one year, but his main equitation horse was a HUGE TB named Uncle Tom. I only remember this because we changed horses in ride offs quite a few times. Remember the good old days before lawsuits?
Lyrical Lou - Dennis Murphy
Grand Lieu - Barney?
Santos - need a few more minutes!

folks, i think it’s time to let the thread go. it’s been fun, but honestly, it’s dwindled down to just a small group of people participating. time to move on!

Wow, Emmet is the QUEEN of BB Old TImers’ Trivia!!
Raymondo d’Inzeo & Hans Gunther Winkler are right, as is the great HALLA!
OK - most wins in World Cup classes (not the finals - we can ALL answer that one )?
Most wins in WC classes on the SAME horse? (I’ll take the top man and or woman - since they are one and two!)
IDLE DICE: Rodney, Buddy
ALBANY: Leslie, Jimmy Kohn, Joanne Kovacs
Shorty, I imagine you remember this. Back in the days when Squeaky (who was 11.2) was champion at Devon, there were only small and large ponies. At Devon, the first small pony hunter class had two divisions, one for ponies 11.2 and under and the other for 11.2 to 13.0.
The 11.2 and under division usually had no more than five entries or so–as opposed to 40-50 in the other “half” of the class–and only one real contender aside from Squeaky (a pony named Vacation Time). Consequently Squeaky always got a “free” five points (the value of a blue then) to start him off.
is Laura Tidball who won the Maclay on the equitation horse Glen Owen and trained with Tim Kees. The year had to be 1979 or 1980. Could the second one be Eryn Ballard?
The gentleman was an owner/rider.
Could be a hint in a former question (many pages ago)about a Virginian now located in Pa.
All things being as they should be, we take notice that Alex is the first post on page 50. Shall we go for 100?
Where’d page 50 go?

But here are the important questions:
In the top picture, what is the dog’s name, and
In the bottom picture, what is the horse’s name (and who was the owner…)
<BLOCKQUOTE class=“ip-ubbcode-quote”><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Emmet: for the Yellowdog’s cruise into yesteryear. So who was the dam of Idle Dice?
Who was the sire of Tindle? (Alex, don’t let me down!)<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Fabled Monarch sired Tindle. (oh pleeeez let this be right!).
And Emm, I would like a cruise to Lyphard Cay, please.
Happy New Year all you spring chickens!
We called Watership Down “Bunny” around the barn. He was frequently into trouble though, and when I was mad at him I would call him “Watership” and on occasion worse. He wasn’t always the most pleasant guy to be around. I once turned my back on him in the stall and he came across the length of the stall and grabbed me by the shoulder. Left a sizeable bruise and teeth marks. I loved him though, and I think he mellowed as he got older. He was always a blast to ride, in spite of “the spook” as Timmy called it. He was certainly a horse that always challenged us…
Nice hints. I still have no idea. But I’m guessing it was James Hulick. Terre Cotta?
Who needs a stupid cruise anyhow.
Besides doing the junior hunters, jumpers and <sadly> ending his career in the Grand Prix - what ELSE did he do?
And what was his nickname?
And what was Buddy’s farm name?
And while I’m on a ROLL - name the street and town!
HAHAHAHAHA
Shorty, is this current shared or past tense? Have to have some clarification…
