I was so disappointed to see Dr Betsee Parker posing with Tori Colvin after her big win in the Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular wearing a full fur coat. She claims to be an advocate for animal rescue?
Not that she cares, but I have no respect for her anymore. She could do so much with her resources and that was the choice that she made? Shameful. ( not to mention the moronic cowboy hat)

I fail to see how her fashion choices are relevant to the hunter/jumper discipline. She can spend her money however she chooses, even if it’s on “moronic cowboy hats”.

Maybe I’m just stir crazy from dealing with this crap weather for so long but…I swear I read almost identical remarks from another poster about BP’s attire and supposed position on animal rights on another post somewhere on the COTH boards earlier this week? It was with some remarks about how good the horse and Tori looked, can’t recall where or find it now.
Odd a completely different person came up with such similar remarks…and got similar response.
Real or faux. Who cares? It’s her own decision to make. Besides, if you have ever worn a real fur you get the allure. I have a mink that came from my Grandmother, so don’t go all PETA on me, and one feels like a million bucks in it.
Have a mink in my closet—don’t get the allure. Draping myself in a dead animal pelt feels like wearing roadkill. That said, I would be a hypocrite to judge others when I love my buffalo saddle and calfskin boots.
