Oh, and my horse can spot a camera at 30 yds and instantly does his best mule impression. Seriously, I don’t have a single good photo of this guy.

I have seen a judge eliminate riders for loose helmet straps as they come around before entering at A.

It’s a Kask Kooki Lady with the wider brim. It’s my first Kask - I’ve always worn Charles Owen AYR8 but needed something cooler. It’s super cool and lightweight.
I didn’t get eliminated but I got a little reprimand from a judge as I went by prior to entering the ring. She gave me a minute to stop and adjust tighter.

Contemplating showing later this summer for the first time in YEARS (we’ll see). Anyway I have looked through the new attire rules but still have a question. I have (no idea where I got it) a Pikeur lightweight jacket that would be great in hot weather but it has a zipper closure — as in no buttons. No mention of that in the guidelines … I’m assuming it may not be legal but wondering if anyone knows for sure. Thanks
There is no mention of buttons anywhere in the rule book. But not being one to assume anything when it comes to USEF, my advice is to write USEF and ask.

Thanks — I thought it was strange that there is no mention of buttons, zippers, anything … just color, pattern and collar/cuffs. Anyway – its not worth writing USEF – I have other option,
