Dressage, Jiggle-age, Boobage!

Hhhmmm…I am going to try an Enell. There is a place that sells them near me (actually, a couple according to their store locator). The motion control neckline got me. This may be IT finally.

check out title9, they have some serious bras.

Or switch to a gaited horse

Ordered an Enell off of Amazon. Thanks so much my curvaceous sisters!

To those of you new to Enells, a word of advice…

Do the bottom 2 or 3 hooks, then scoop the girls up into place, THEN hook the rest. If you feel the first time you wear it like the girls are almost under your armpits, you’re about right

DO NOT be discouraged if the first wearing or two feels too restrictive, they do give just a bit with use.

I wear mine all day on riding/farm/days off… I do have a couple older ones that I wear for the all days, and I keep the newer ones for shows/lessons/clinics. They’re so expensive, I get only one a year or so, and then the show/clinic/lesson one goes to daily wear etc.

Got my eye on a wacoal thanks to Coreene… If I get it cheep, I’ll let everyone know how they compare. For now, I just wish I could afford Enells for every day for work too for my back.

Wow, great & timely thread!

I use two Champion (zip front), but have been trying to find something that I don’t have to double up. Wearing two bras really digs into my large shoulders.

I’ll try the Champion Powersleek and see how it goes. Then maybe Enell. I just don’t like the uniboob look.

Ungaited throw them up and down together.
Gaited throw them left, right - left, right !

34DD here. The multiple-bra approach has worked well for me, with careful choice of layering bras. That gets hot during the summer in SC, though.

Enell is fabulous. Ugly uniboob masher bra, but there is NO bounce, even sitting the biggest trot.

A more affordable option that I have had great luck with has been the medical “vests” given to women who have undergone lumpectomy, mastectomy or even enlargement surgery. Serious mashers, available in breathable fabric, relatively comfy and much easier on the checkbook than the Enells.

I’d love a link for that, if you wouldn’t mind posting one! I’m not quite sure what you’re describing, but am desperate to try something new. I use Enells but I find them almost excruciatingly uncomfortable, so I’d like to find another, equally-immobilizing option. I’ve had some success combining a non-elastic shoulder strap underwire with a Frog bra over that. (actually more comfortable than an Enell, if you can believe that!) But less complicated would be nice, as would be losing the underwires…

I’m a big fan of the moving comfort bras. Specifically the Maia and Fiona ones. Very comfortable and no bounce and no uniboob.

This is so timely! I was just thinking how I needed recommendations on a comfortable bra with more support. My bras are pretty lame. However, I am a 36 A-almost B. I know, I probably don’t need as much support as you girls with big girls, but still could use a recommendation!

Now, If they only made a bra for my jiggly belly after two babies.

I really should have entitled this post:

Dressage+Boobage=Jigglage

Hopefully the Enell is on the way. Amazon has them a bit cheaper than Title 9.

I also love the Enell bra. While the fit is a bit snug, once I start riding, I don’t notice it. More importantly, I don’t bounce all over the place when I sit the trot.

This one is great, no jiggles at the sitting trot (and you can find it on eBay a lot):

This one is also great at sitting trot, but apparently not if you go beyond a D (out of stock at Amazon but always on eBay):

This one is the one NOT to get:

For a less expensive alternative try the “frog bra” from title nine “so you can leap without bouncing”. Seriously, you get uniboob but the girls don’t move.

I’m a Shock Absorber girl all the way!

A friend of mine gave me an Enell that didnt fit her right after watching me take a lesson one day. She said it was too painful to watch.
I havent gone riding without it since. Though it did take a few days to get used to how they feel.

Now I much prefer it to normal bras I have to admit.

See, I just don’t get the uniboob in the Enell. I mean, they’re certainly not ‘lift & separate’ but it’s not a bad silhouette. You do have to place the girls before finishing up the hooks… and if the Enell gets too comfy/stretchy/worn (about a year, IMO) you might have to re-adjust them once or twice during the day… But nowhere near the smashing-together I used to get in the 3 bra (including underwire base! :o ) setup.

I must admit, I always get asked if I’ve lost weight too, when someone’s seen me in street clothes and then in riding clothes/enell.

I would so seriously love to be able to afford them for every day.

Title 9

I have something from Title 9 called The Last Resort, and hate it. It does keep the girls immobile and flattened, but it has so many seams, all of which magically show through several layers of clothing (along with the headlights), that I’m very selfconscious wearing it. This time of year it’s okay, as you need several thick layers in January in New England, but even though I don’t really care if someone is looking at my visible bra lines, I feel self-conscious in this bra.
