Ungaited throw them up and down together.
Gaited throw them left, right - left, right ![/QUOTE]
I have this picture of me learning tempis from ages ago… one up, one down
NOW…I wear a regular padded underwire bra that fits me well, with an equicomfort spandex sports bra over that, and a fitted Arista quilt vest over that. Holds it all together, allows great mobility of arms, shoulders and head, since the girls aren’t squashed up under your chin or under your arms. The undergarments and the vest are cool enough for schooling in the heat of summer, in cold weather I add a long sleeve fleece top.
Lilyette has a nice non-monoboob (duoboob?) sports bra with underwire that has a wide range of sizes well over D. There are three levels of sports/support and I got the highest one. It worked well and I was confident enough in the shape that I could actually wear it in public if I had to do a post-barn errand  It lasted about a year before losing its effectiveness. I’ll dig up the style when I get home tonight.
Moving Comfort. I think it’s the Maia style. Underwire and separate cups keep it from forming the dreaded uniboob. I wear mine under fitted tank tops in summer, and it’s not too scary. Plus, wicking.
The Moving Comfort Maia did not really work for me. I still have lots of movement and had to layer a minimizer over the top. I have ordered a Wacoal and will try that out. Basically the tight sports bra mushes everything down and the minimizer seperates and supports individually.
The Enell ones did work but were so ungodly uncomfortable that I cannot wear it long enough to get to the barn and get through my horse chores. The uniboob also meant that when I road-biked to the barn I would get excess sweat and with jammed together cleavage it never would go away. I think that since the Enell is not sized by cup and band it only works on some women. While a 38 DDD and a 42 D may be the same overall measurement; they are shaped completely differently.

Here it is: http://www.herroom.com/Lilyette-917-Active-Motion-Underwire-Sports-Bra.shtml
I thought I got the highest support level but I actually got the “Active Motion” instead pf “Power Motion” because it has underwire. It seems to run small and I had to order about two sizes larger than my usual size.
Snug-a-breast…honest - it works!
Let me suggest http://snugabreast.com/equestrian.html
Original concept was for women who’d had breast surgery and needed support, but it’s obviously caught on for equestrian sports as well.
Admittedly it is definitely the uniboob look, but this works well and because of the velcro you can adjust it accordingly. A little more snug for riding and other high impact events, less for just sitting around etc.
I actually found this at a Saddlebred show. One of the tailors had it on display and swore by it. I asked if he had an XXL (OK, I admit it, I’m a 46D or DD depending on the make) and he laughed and handed me a medium long to try on over top of my t-shirt. I swear, I thought he was totally nuts. I’ve never worn a medium in anything! He showed me how to adjust it and then challenged me to run up and down the arena steps. Then told me if I bought it and didn’t like it he’d refund my money.
Sold me right then and there. Girls don’t move (can’t say the rest of me doesn’t, but the girls certainly don’t). I’ve had it for three years now and it’s still holding up strong. Of course, I only wear it for riding, but it’s been well worth the price. Price has actually come down since I bought mine originally (It was $75…I think they’re $50 now?) The long style comes down to just above my waist.
If you are in the NYC area or planning to travel there, you also can set up an appointment with BraTenders. They specialize in fitting bras, and they carry a lot of hard-to-find brands and sizes. They carry a ton of sports bras along with lots of pretty lingerie.
The one-hour fitting is free, and if you don’t find something that works, you don’t have to buy anything. I went and the fitting was amazing. My girls have never looked so good or felt so effortlessly supported.
I went to Equitana in Melbourne in '08, and there was this little stall for this little ‘contraption’ to hold your boobs in place - being 16 and a 14E (dunno how the measuring is different from here) I wish I had bought one !
It clips to your bra straps, above the cups, then stretches over your boobs, and clips onto the waist of your pants. the woman who invented it was fairly hefty, and she did TONS of research, and it definitely made a difference !
I wear a waistcoat under my jacket at shows that is about a size to small, so it keeps 'em still
Got my Enell today. Holy Cr*P! It really works. I was standing in front of the mirror jumping up and down (Shades were closed… I hope) and there was NO jiggleage. At least not where “The Girls” were. The rest of me?? Well, there was jiggleage there.
It’s wicked uncomfortable though. We’ll see if I can get used to it! Thanks so much for the tips, ladies!

There’s a reason my DH calls my Enell bra “The Iron Maiden”…
I’m another Enell gal. I don’t care about the uniboob look while riding.
Thanks to Risk-Averse Rider for turning me onto them.
Now, to strap down my tummy somehow… :dead:
I refer to my Enells as my “Sheera Mistress of the Universe Upward Fortification.”
It gets better. I promise. Give it a couple of wearings.
I’m very interested in trying the snugabreast.
They’re all about the same price though. :dead: WHY is support so damn expensive? Guys don’t have to pay that much.
Heavy duty underwire sports bra and full spanx ,keep bouncing and belly jiggling to a bare minimum, keeping all spectators from getting nauseous during extensions and tempis
On the cheap sports bra and bathing suit 2 sizes to small, works well but well…its a bathing suit so beware
