I do excercises for my back and hips almost every day - I seem to be a frequent flyer when it comes to physical therapy. I’m hoping to start running when we are past ice and now season. I had started running in 2021 but then I got Covid which morphed into long covid, so running was out of the question. After a year and a half I am beginning to feel like I can run a few steps without getting heart palpitations or being left exhausted for a few days. I have to pace myself when doing the endurance part of DRT.
Since I can’t ride the injured horse right now, I don’t know if DRT is making a difference in my riding, but, last might DH and I went out dancing and while doing the twist I was able to twist all the way down to the floor and back up with relative ease. It’s been years since I could do that! Those squats and postural exercises are making a difference.
Yes you are right!! These excersises really make a difference!!
OMG I am devastated . Somehow I pulled a muscle in my chest which hurts like crazy once I start trot
. I know why it happened but I need it to stop
. I have beautiful fit horses but I can’t ride them
Oh I’m so sorry @Manni01. Physical pain is such a pain. My hand is still painful, and that’s on top of the physical issues I already had. Take care of yourself!
Thank you so much But I am back
. It doesn’t hurt anymore and today I started the third part of the excersises
. Hope you are doing well!!!
Ok I just started up again today! I really need this motivation as I am awful at it on my own.
Go! Target of 2 weeks straight! You got this!
Today is day 2! Do it! The hardest part is hitting “play”!
Thank you! I am in fact just about to hit play. LOL
ETA: Done!
How are you doing??? Hope you were able to recover !!
It is getting pretty tough IMO and now all my kids gather around me and tell me that I do everything wrong…. That is kind of annoying but of course it’s also helpful !!!
I started running again although we still have a lot of cold snowy days….
Thank you! I am just getting back to it. I have to rest my wrist often, but I’m just adapting. I’m also doing Activate your Seat which doesn’t require me to be on my hands and knees. So much stuff!!
Great job on the running! I wish my hips would allow me to do that. Maybe someday I will be strong enough to do it again.
I’m halfway through DRT3! Traveling this week, but still doing some of the workouts but not strictly following a week, so I’ll hop to week 7 when I get home.
Restarted DRT from the top this morning after an unintended break (I slipped on some ice covered stairs, then had COVID, and then our dog had surgery that was more involved than originally thought)!
I had planned to do core & yoga this morning but I have a lesson tomorrow so am leaving yoga for my morning warm up☺️
